I think the discharge and charging current are different so in negative half cycle the Vx will be less than 0.5 volts Please correct me if I am wrong !!

@10:05, 0.4Volt increment when Vleft_in= 0, it shouldn't be that way. 0.5 volt is the steady state value, so how is it able to achieve 0.1+0.4= 0.5 in very less time ( RC>> T/2).

yes this solution is probably faulty... at steady state, average voltage across the capacitor would be 0 with some ripples around it.

concept is correct but the waveform is wrong. it's curvature shape should be opposite just like the normal charging and discharging of capacitor.

Yes agree that the slopes which are convex needs to be concave while the concave needs to be convex. Nice observation. Thanks :)
