This is strange - because due to the poor vrm heatsink design of ALL Z690 ASUS boards, the NH-D15 & D15S are NOT compatible with ANY ASUS Z690 board, even Noctua itself mentions this - and installing it sideways is a bad idea because then you are bringing in the hot air from the GPU, the proper way to install it is taking air from the front of the case and into the back - everyone I know with this motherboard and all other ASUS Z690 boards have not been able to install this cooler, I dunno how you managed and after checking Noctua acknowledges it is an ASUS issue and till this date has not been fixed.

Hey, I have this exact motherboard, i5-12600k and the D15S and I was able to install it no problem, with the included Noctua LGA1700 mounting bracket in the box I have mine mounted front to back (not sideways) it draws air from front of case and exhausts it to the back where the rear fan is. It has plenty of clearance with RAM and VRM heatsinks. How is it not compatible? Can you elaborate?
