It is built in the processor and used to store CPU's recently accessed information. Each core in CPU has their own L1 cache memory 👉L2 Cache :-It is Larger than L1 cache but Slower than L1. It is located outside and separated from the CPU chip core. Each core in the CPU has their own L2 cache memory 👉L3 Cache :-It is Largest cache but Slowest cache than L1 & L2 . Earlier, the L3 memory cache was actually found on the motherboard. But Now CPUs include the L3 cache on the CPU itself. It is used by CPU and it is built on the motherboard within CPU module itself. All cores in the CPU share the same L3 cache memory. By the way, The cache memory is fastest memory than RAM & Storage.
