Nah, Intel is actually thinking more long term here. They believe they can eventually one-up AMD at some point and get back on top of the PC game, but if Apple takes over a big chunk of the PC market, that's a segment they're never getting back and they're fighting for a smaller piece of the pie.

@@yarnosh i don’t see that happening though. Intel still has a chance to beat AMD if they can outperform their specs. They still have a massive chunk of the PC market. There were a couple of occasions initially where it seemed to be a useful feature but the experience was just bad. The Windows operating system was mostly to blame. The best combination I have experienced for my work is the MacBook Pro and my iPad with an Apple Pencil. Another company sells a thing called Luna display. I have a two in one laptop (Lenovo, amd), and one thing that Intel doesn't seem to understand is that a tablet has it's niche and a two in one can't just solely replace that. I use my iPad for small games, photos, editing, and transferring things alongside acting as a second screen alongside my laptop. An iPad has a much different holding experience than a two in one. You don't want to hold a big ass screen around all day vs an iPad with a case on it.
