Even my sons 6750xt on 1440p has noticeable sustained higher fps in all his sim games like farm sim and flight simulator. Over his previous 5800x on basic 3200mhz cl16 ram. 13600k is tempting as it clearly handles production workloads better BUT is way more expensive usually around $270-300 and on a socket that won’t have any new releases. The 7600x can be bought for $200 on sale and trades blows with the 13600k in gaming just not so much in multicore production. It’s on a brand new socket with like another 3yrs of new cpu options. I went with the $200 7600x for my first AM5 build instead of the 5800x3D upgrade and loved the performance. But a brand new sealed 7800x3D popped up in my area for $340 so I went to it and put the 7600x in a media pc with a 6700xt , z5 Neo 30cl 6000mt ram on a 4k 144hz 65” screen. After that I found another new but no retail box 7800x3D for $260 so my son has top of the line cpu for his 6750xt at 1440p 165hz. I only planned to get him a hopefully used 7600 but at $260 for a new 7800x3D I figured why not. It appears to have made a huge difference in all his sim games. Much higher fps in FS2020 40th edition.

Most average user don't really need upgradability. Because, if you couldn't afford higher specs in first place, you are probably not going to be able to afford to upgrade at the time newer things came out. Unless you are already using a very outdated system and buying a 2nd hand newer thing (but still outdated) with a good price. Most of the time, using a systems for years and buying a completely new system when needed is more cost effective and convenient for ordinary user
@45eno4 ай бұрын
With AM4 my upgrading to newer cpus was like it had never been in the past. It was very affordable to buy a better CPU and sell off the older one. I never do a complete new pc build. It’s always when I come across a crazy good deal and then sell off my old parts. Most recently I found a new 7800x3D locally for $220. I then ordered open box B650 Aorus Elite AX for $88 and Gskill Flare X 6000MT C30 ram for $93. I should make back about $240 on the parts I sell. And that’s how I do upgrades when the deals present themselves.

Yeah if you just compare CPU's sure, But feature parity for motherboards, Intel's can be SIGNFICANTLY more expensive. Particularly if you go with an ATX board and need multiple high bandwidth dedicated PCIE or M.2 lanes or a good NIC. Likewise though, Ryzen's memory is going to cost you a LOT more to get good a good set of 6000MHZ CL30, whereasthe 13600 is going to be more forgiving with budget ram. CPU's are only a small part of the equation when it comes to value, what's going to make or break it is regional pricing of the other components.

I'd go for the i5 instead, better memory controller reliability (translates to higher RAM speeds with less problems), more threads and OC headroom in the case you need to pump CPU performance but don't want to change it, less pricey but you can also do less, i recommend against the 7600X (i7/i9s 13/14th gen is a well acceptable upgrade margin)

one of those holdovers from the INTEL glory years huh?
@RiverNeo6 ай бұрын
IDK where to begin with it : memory controller reliability : occures only if you go for AM5 and only if u want to pump up those Numbers, otherwise 95 % it works fine. So in this case in wouldn´t even matter in a Budget build. (translates to higher RAM speeds with less problems) : Which is important why ? People forget that Speed is not everything, the Timings are important too, thats why a 6000 mhz Ram can be slower in Gaming vs a 5200 Ram with better Timings. more threads and OC headroom : OC is 95% useless in most scenarios, its simply not worth to put time in it + those Chips are fairly high in clock speed from default. Those Threads mean nothing, sry, Gaming wise the 7600x is better and faster in 90 % the time, maybe the 13600k has 1-2 Titels where he shines but that was it, and in the future there are better CPU´s. Price Performance goes to the 7600x by miles

You forget about ddr5 cost + expensive am5 motherboard Cpu price means nothing in this situation, we must count cpu + ram + motherboard price combo

Good look using ddr4 in 3 or 4 years lmao

@@hugoreyes7185 i keep seeing this type of comments over and over and over again. do people think that ddr4 will ran out of gas of something? do some of you think that you need to refuel it every few years or something? there is NOT A SINGLE GAME in existence or being made THAT DOES NOT WORK with ddr4, NONE! ofc ddr5 has a bit better performance than ddr4, but to sit here and sugest that it will be useless it's pure nonesense my uncle's son has a pc with 18 gb of ddr3, there is not a single game that he can't run due to his ram, it's due to his poor gpu and cpu, nothing to do with his pc rams

13600k is not $290 bro. It’s $220 and im really starting to think you’re sponsored by AMD because the intel hate is getting out of hand

Dawg, you posted a comment on a 6 month old short. 6 months ago it was $290.

I'm stuck between two gpus options. The first is 4060ti, and the second is rx6800xt. Pls tell me what to choose and the best cpu for them. Pls I'm bout to make my pc. I'll be waiting

If you want Nvidia, get any 4000 series card but the 4060 ti, but if you dont care about raytracing I would recommend the RX
@peter91416 ай бұрын
For pure gaming performance the 6800xt is better, if you do 3d or if you want raytracing and dlss go for the 4060ti, for cpu get the 12400f or if you want future proofing and have more money go for the 7500f
