For GTA 5, instead of changing resolution altogether, you can use the frame scaling mode at 0.66(2/3) for 720p 3d res on 1080p native res and 5/6 for 900p❤️

Great vid! Im just starting to get back into the hardware side of computing and how it affects software. I would probably go for 1070 coz of vram but the only thing to worry about is driver support in a few years because 1070 is older.

More of a cpu bottleneck than a driver issue I think and I know it's weird what I just said. There is something about intel cpus with iris xe in them which doesn't make sense. I've watched benchmarks, comparisons and my thoughts are the cpu gets weaker when the iGPU is used in graphical workload. I've seen a comparison that I'll not forget between i3 1115g4 and ryzen 3 3250u. On cpu side the i3 is better and the iGPU is better than Vega 3 but in gta 5 ryzen 3 3250u delivered more fps actually. I am playing sometimes gta 5 with a gtx 1050 4gb and i5 8250u 4c/8t (the same amount of cores and threads the i5 11320h has) and once I notice the gpu usage staying around 80%, the cpu usage goes from 40% to 60% which indicates a cpu bottleneck because all 4 cores are fully utilized and it stays around 50% usage because 4threads are used at max but there are other 4 threads left and gta 5 uses only 4 cores/4threads

This should work well with lossless scaling, 40 fps limit, 3x fg and 1.3 or 1.5 upscaling for a virtuslly perfectly smooth 120fps.

You should test rtx 3050 in dying light 2 (inside the city) you haven't tested inside the city. By the way I bought rtx 3060 on your advice and you know what it gave me (1080p) 93 average fps on horizon zero down (dlss is turned off and fsr is also off)I didn't expected that much because people on KZbin hate that card. I'll wait 9 to 12 month for rtx 40 series One more thing I also brought i7 10700k and 32gb ram. I hope it will last for 1 year. I upgraded from GTX 1050 ti and it feel heavenly now thanks for advice. Iris Xe Graphics laptops here are WAY too expensive. Some go up to a price like 1200$ with 8gb ram and not a lot of storage. Like damn, I can buy an RTX 3060 laptop for that money. I'm not very sure why people keep buying expensive laptops with iGPUs. It's basically pointless. Great benchmark nonetheless!

Work laptops dont need fast GPU. Thinkpads etc are the trade grade hammer of business. Zoom is demanding, and is burdensome on 2C4T+iGPU laptops, which is why 4C8T+Iris is needed. Also businesses have all sorts of IT setups that burden the CPU and Network. Most companies buy the 16GB memory option.. 8GB is possible but unwise. Did you think people play games at work? 🤣 Also you would look goofy turning up to a meeting with a gaming laptop that starts spinning up like a jet engine during the meeting!

I just got a Hp x360 14 inch with an Intel core i5 1135g7 and iris xe. I knew I was getting an Intel igpu and a prepared for that. But holy shet did it surprise me. When you hear "Intel iGPU" you think of an display adapter. But iris xe can do some light gaming and if you drop the res to 1366x768 ALO 60fps in quite some games. Impressive

It's only a Phenom II X4 840 @ 3.2 GHz on an ancient motherboard (BioStar A770E3). :p Still, I shouldn't complain TOO much - GTA V runs great when the vsync is locked to half (30; wish that was standard on all games - such an awesome feature) and all the graphics turned down (still amazed at how good the game looks even then :).

hello kryzp i have a problem i faced it recently its only happen in fortnite batte royal mode creative maps are completly ok smooth and fast without any sttuter but in 6 month ago i was get 80fps almost in high setting with gtx 1650 but right now its terrible im getting lots of sttuter and fps drops my fps is 40 right now ( only in this game others are fine ) my isnt loading the loading of the match taking so long and when i load my character isnt loaded and and also map didnt and my fps will be 0 and 1 and 2 and it will go to 40 and when an enemy coomes up my game will freez and when its unfreez i see my self dead when i biuld its freez and its sttutering all the time
