Intel basically put the bar a little bit over AMD Vega that has been around for a few years already. I suspect ADM 7000 will boost their iGPUs a little bit again to surpass Intel again. Intel struggeled with manufacturing for a long time and are late to the game. Still, I am very happy they finally cought up!

My conclusion: So far the (relatively efficient) MX450/T500 wins the race. I wish however, someone would test the performance for Cad and Video rendering with Davinci Resolve.

Looking forward to finally getting Intel’s 10 nm process node for desktop 8 core/16 thread CPUs. Right now having 10 nm limited to 4 core 8 thread parts in laptops isn’t too exciting for enthusiasts. The integrated graphics here is impressive, but I’m personally more interested in dedicated GPUs for more performance intensive stuff. Love the work you guys do, but ... Ryzen is winning for raw thread counts/production work and even in gaming by a minimal margin overall in Ryzen 5000. Seems to me Intel will need to provide a significant leap this go around to regain market share.

@@georgemartinezza what else is there to understand? 10th gen is slightly worse (though about the same) VS Ryzen 5000 in gaming and gets thrashed in production tasks. The only thing Intel can compete on currently is price for the PC space. Core quality was a better argument with Zen 2 when AMD was still slower for gaming tasks/lower core/thread count apps. Zen 3 has stronger IPC while Intel has higher frequency - especially looking at power draw/heat outside their limited 10 nm line it doesn’t paint a good picture for Intel right now, they need to do better.

I’ve watched a ton of these and my conclusions are what their real world in a variety of applications and work loads demonstrate. If anyone’s a fanboy it’s you for denying the current state of things. Intel will bounce back but in this moment their product is weaker so they must compete on price. It’s something we haven’t seen for quite a long time.

I still remember how monstrosity is that GTX 8800 Ultra. I'm still proud and can see its power in today's application, at least minimum. But, the iris is like a F1 supercar Vs old scooter which is the gtx8800 in terms of speed. Have any of you felt the monstrous power of the 8800 ultra and have your jaw dropped?
