In the era of 6G wireless communication, addressing challenges related to signal quality, interference, and network congestion is paramount. This research project delves into the optimization of Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) as a ground-breaking solution. Utilizing CST Studio Suite software, we meticulously designed and simulated unit cell structures, exploring a range of parameters. Our rigorous experimentation revealed an optimal structure exhibiting remarkable 313-degree phase shift performance at 2.4 GHz, meeting project requirements effectively. Experimental results, gathered using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), confirmed the impressive phase shift and reflection coefficient within acceptable limits. A comprehensive comparison between simulation and experimental outcomes provided valuable insights into IRS real-world applicability. Our research highlights IRS as a promising solution for wireless communication challenges in the context of emerging 6G technology, promising a future with enhanced wireless connectivity.
