Great idea, and the possibilities are endless. Instead of pebbles, you could use shells, crystals, tiles, etc.

@firstinthedance, How would one do this using shells but in a round container such as a small tabletop candle or open cylinder with a bottom? I get the mesh reinforcement for flat sides with spacers for flex, but what about a continuous cylinder shape? I’ve brought home black scallops from the Outer Banks.
