I like angry Arin occasionally, but seeing him in this video just laughing and genuinely having a good time is really refreshing. I think part of the problem is that Arin has a reputation as a poor loser, so when things get competitive and he starts getting salty, it fuels people to want to see him rage out. It is nice to see them have fun, but "Angry Arin" is kinda like his comeuppance for the times when he's a douche.

This really brings me back. I haven't seen Tank Battle in more than 30 years and the second I saw it load up I got a pang of nostalgia so strong I don't even know how to describe it. I remember one day in the winter of '81, sitting on a cold cement basement floor that was painted salmon pink playing this very game and a few others with my older brother. I wasn't very old, 6 I'd say, and this game actually did blow my mind. Thanks for letting my experience it again, fellers. I needed this today.

This is now the third time I'll have watched this series. I almost never re-watch LP videos. I rarely bother to re-watch my favorite TV shows even. Life's too short and the world's too big to spend watching reruns, you know? But there's something about Danny and Arin discovering these ancient games for the first time and genuinely enjoying themselves. You rarely see that, even on this show. Usually when they cover an older game that's new to them, Arin gets sick of it quickly and stops after one episode. I don't know if we'll ever get another experience quite like this one.

It's so wholesome and it makes me smile every time I watch it. :) I get that they did this series as a special favor, but I would love to see this come back for a few more episodes of them legitimately having a good time trying to figure these games out. It's a refreshing change of pace from their usual dynamic.
