I love how she doesn't just use her growl to be edgy, she uses it to enhance the emotion of the lyrics. Her singing voice is so beautiful, but her growl is also pleasant in it's tones, it still has a melodic quality.

Your mini-doc on Jinjer was a great synopsis of the bands past, I've even dropped the link to it in a couple other reactors comment threads who are just starting the Jinjourney. I've been a Metal fan for something around 40 years and was never a big fan of harsh vocals either. Tatiana changed my outlook on that though! I love them from her and am starting to appreciate other bands that have vocals like that. Never thought it would grow on me, but it is... perhaps you'll get there too.

It’s not Wack-en….it’s Vack-en. I just seen JINJER live for the first time a few weeks ago. They did not disappoint whatsoever! Tatiana is (BY FAR) One of the best female vocalists out there. And she is SELF-TAUGHT. “DANKE” is thank you in German. Tatiana is Ukrainian, and Wacken is a MASSIVE festival in a small German village! Wacken open air is by far one of the best festivals, and I would sell a kidney to be able to go. Jinjer is one badass band, and Tatiana is the sweet/spicy icing on the cake 🍰 those cleans and them growls are truly amazing!

Jinjer - Bad Water (Official live version) All clean vocals, no growls. Heavy base (including a base outright) and a very dark vibe to it. This one you will really appreciate. One of my all time favourite songs and the offical live is even darker sounding than the official music video.

The song is about her struggles with Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) - hence "Perennial". If growls are not your thing, you should react to "I speak Astronomy" and "Wallflower" were the growl is lessened.

Great reaction and good job on the Jinjer documentary. For some Jinjer with less harsh vocals and more cleans, try Bad Water or Beggar's Dance (short song without a video...i believe). Looking forward to more Jinjer!

Gotta disagree with you mate. Tatiana is indeed incredible, but she's not on a whole other level when compared to the other guys on the band, she just stands out more. They're all very talented. Vlad is and extremely good drummer, with a background on classical music and jazz, so trust me when I tell you, there's not many drummers around who can play at his level. Eugene also is a great bass player, who's able to mix several different techniques in his play style and still make it work flawlessly. And finally, Roman on the guitars is a hell of a guitar player. Extremely technical and precise, plus a with great sense of taste in the harmonies and riffs he plays. He's not one of those guitar players who needs to go into some big technical solo just to show off, which I honestly usually find it boring in most rock/metal, but trust me, those riffs are hard!

Another great reaction guys and I too enjoyed the documentary. I would love to see you do "Teacher Teacher" next as it is still my favorite jinjer song. I do recommend the official music video because it is live footage from 3 separate concerts and I believe the audio is better than most of their live shows, Wacken, pronounced Vacken notwithstanding.

haha finally!! But I get ya..again, from a hip hop head, I am not into the growls either, but Tati/jinjer has literally made me change on that when i listen to THEM. I've tried others as well, but it's still mostly not my thing either. The band in general is SO damn talented that it transcends it because it fits with the story that their trying to paint if that makes sense. Glad you're giving it a chance though..I did, and I am definitely glad haha

I’m not sure if you have heard this song or, if I’ve already mentioned it before. Both of you really need to go with “Teacher Teacher” (Official Video) It is live concert footage yes, Ok! Anyways, only a suggestion in listening to you both Teacher Teacher is very unique to all the other songs It has the vocal fry ect…. But, this song really takes you on a journey Also, showcases her soaring vocal range Then, maybe go back a bit Songs - Scissors (haven’t completed the band yet) 2012 Song - Outlander ( 2014 named “Best Ukrainian Metal Act) 🎶✌️😊🌸
