I just wanna share that I found using the under-barrel flashlight attachment instead of the helmet flashlight greatly helps with visibility in dark and dusty areas.

In practice it tends to be a tighter beam that reaches farther, but the headlamp is still best for general environment illumination

I would imagine having both comes in handy when using headtracking. Gun light pointing where the gun is pointing and headlight pointing where you are looking.

So, I just bought dual sticks and a gaming chair, and I'm currently writing a shooting script for a little showoff music video, recorded with camera _and_ vidcapture, of me dogfighting and using the peripherals, set to 'Death' by White Lies. This game encourages videocapturing your adventures.

This is demonstrating better and more satisfying level design by CIG. Mission to kill 65 enemy, but you only find 25 at the site. That is until you find an underground cave!

it was very unexpected for sure! and an interesting twist on a familiar mission - also hopefully with server meshing now actually on the horizon it will be awesome to see how much AI reactions improve when it gets added

So Kate and Team had a fight for their lives. How will the rest of us fare? Great job! This glimpse of Pyro keeps getting better the more I see of it. My bet is that Terra and Magnus gateways/Jump Points were put into Live for a reason... Nyx could also be well on the way. Additionally: Still find it amazing that Citizen Kate and Will only have 34k subs.?.? Total shame for one of the best Star Citizen channels out there!

The Pyro playground (this version that the CitCon attendees also got to play) is just a demo, as in incomplete. You wont get many spoilers, should you want to watch more of Kate's Pyro videos, which I would recommend. I would also add that, in the time everyone has to explore the demo before the full system is released, there will still be so much not discovered. Kate's video are just a taste that wont spoil your appetite and a lawless system (especially a naturally hostile stellar system) should always require research and preparation if you want to survive, as it should be. The choice is yours, of course. :)

A dedicated scanner would be super helpful for these kind of missions -- similar to the radar in Aliens to ping for underground enemies/items (maybe a handheld device with a visible screen display?). Glad the team kept exploring and found the cave instead of assuming the mission was bugged, as most content creators are prone to doing (though to be fair, there are plenty of bugged missions in SC). These kind of missions that prompt for exploration are a really nice addition!!!

SC has the best caves. Only game where I've ever gotten lost in a cave that feels like a cave. Also cave exploring. Can find little crawl spaces that eventually open up into large rooms. Really cool.

Yeah every once in a while we see a hint at what the AI in the game can be - but until server meshing i think it will remain kinda hamstrung and slow to wake up - when it does work though it can be quite exciting for sure :)

Keeping Armistice zones in (and maybe a very short distance around) Stations makes sense. It wouldn't make a lot of sense for the gangs operating these stations to allow murderhobos to just run around killing their customers, Clients, merchants etc. Or perhaps even damage the station itself. Being unable to maintain some security and order would make them look weak. No merchant would bother setting up, No travelers would go there, No one would ever supply the place.

Just having NPC’s shooting in our general direction is a plus. Though I did have an awesome experience once with SoO when the AI was on point. It was a fantastic experience, unfortunately it’s all to rare.
