I'd argue that getting attcked and blown up right next to a station isn't something the gang running the station would want though, if you're allied with the gang you should be under their protection within their sphere of influence, if only for the selfish reason that random killing within their space would reduce commerse etc. Having turrets and or launched fighters "keep the peace" would make sense to me.
@zeroxception11 ай бұрын
Your not wrong gang controlled turrrets and patrol ships should happen at some point to make stations more secure if you have positive rep with them and more dangerous if you have negative rep. Gang patrol ships that patrol thier areas of space would be cool too.
@EeroafHeurlin11 ай бұрын
Stirring shit up in a gangs territory without their permission ought to have rather grave consequences, such challenges to their authority cannot go unpunished if the gang intents to actually stay in control. A massive rep drop ough to do it, then it's just a case of having actually working NPC patrols and defence turrets. Regardless; camping hangars and spawns is just about the lamest thing one can do, even ramming (talk to me how it's a valid tactic when the rammer has some **actual** consequences) is less lame.

That's the intent. Nothing in Pyro is working
@redshirt4911 ай бұрын
@@walawala-fo7ds Well, the Pyro they let us test is a stripped-down version. They did mention this. Also, NPC law enforcement is a planned feature meant to replace armistice zones entirely in the feature. Breaking armistice is intended to come with harsh punishments and possibly being sent to new nasty prisons with much longer sentences.
@Schmeeda-wt9wm4 ай бұрын
I imagine CIG are going to have to add that stuff after Pyro releases. Players aren't going to enjoy being hangar camped for sure. Even if you want to argue the gangs don't care about policing the system, they'd still definitely want to police their own stations.

I remember a couple of years ago (the time flies), when you first started out in SC. There was a point where you were ready to sum up your thoughts on Star Citizen. When answering the question of would you ever go back to Elite. Your answer was "How could I?" I think if you ever wanted to put a photo next to that statement it would be at 17:22. Edit: Please don't give up on your series entirely. I love life on the Corsair. What kept me invested is your crew having to operate within the bonuses and constraints of that ship. It could either be good, or really bad. The best part is it never feels old because the adventures are non-linear so us viewers can start anywhere and be entertained.

In regards to your comments about the circumnavigation series; do you think that condensing them into a single long video might make them more worth doing? They are by far my favorite series of yours and I'd hate for them to disappear completely.
@Citizen_Kate11 ай бұрын
I personally love making them - from a creative perspective it is the chance to do something totally different to the usual videos, you know? and there will be more - at least finishing out the Hurston series - for every stage of the journey though there is between 6 and 12 hours of footage that has to be scanned though and edited from 2-3 perspectives :D it takes about 3 days to do that for each stage of the trip so really it's just about finding time to get it done if we did one in future - like a Pyro planet for example - i think maybe making it a single video could work for sure :) noting the most memorable moments as we go could help - we didnt really do anything like that on either Microtech or Hurston and it would serve as a better way to maybe condense everything down in the moment as opposed to trying to find it all in the edit afterwards :D

Attacks were mainly due to fear, and some due to loving the fact they can. I am assuming this was before you got your new system. Pyro was loading perfectly fine for me, and I had no frame issues anywhere it was very stable. That mission should really be clearable with bombs, so I hope CIG fixes that, and that seems like an oversight. Some of those vistas are beyond beautiful. I am sorry to hear people are not watching the Circumnavigation videos, for those are some of the most well-edited musically and visually you do. I enjoy them very much. I shared with you in Discord that the upgraded monitor is performing well, I am getting 25-70 fps at 5k, but in the 100 fps region with dips to 40 at 2k. If you upgrading monitor make sure it has a high refresh rate, for uncapped in some games I get up to 275 FPS. Then cooling becomes an issue lol, so I am good to play at 2k on SC and 5k in other games.
@Citizen_Kate11 ай бұрын
yes this was before my new system - it's actually the reason i decided to upgrade even :) i figured that it was a sign it was time to commit to something that would stand up in the future - as for the mission yes i completely agree. i think it is probably a bug. Critical did mention to me that up until quite recently bombs could not destroy bunker turrets either so there is a precident for this kind of bug :D oooh lol it's you Tlove! :D haha yes your feedback on a high resolution monitor was very helpful thank you! I am most deifnitely considering it!

Overall I really like the change of pace in Pyro from what I'm seeing in terms of danger lurking around ever corner. And I absolutely ADORE the sense of exploration. But to tell how fun and healthy it truly is I think we will need at least a few months of experience with it and unfortunately the sense of exploration will be very much a temporary thing unless they added a ton of stuff and keep adding more fast enough.

At the beginning of the anime "Outlaw Star" the main character defines an outlaw as someone that isn't always law abiding and isn't a pirate. Instead an outlaw is someone that does what they want/need to do and sometimes that falls outside the law and sometimes going outside the law is the right thing to do. Thus outlaw is someone that is someone that lives outside the law, but that doesn't make them evil. For example, the Hurston Family lives inside the law, but the Hurstons are evil. Xenothreat is outside the law and they are evil. Citizens of Pyro is outside the law and, in my opinion, they are good. Skunkworks are outlaws, but not evil. Edit: It isn't the beginning of the first episode, but early in the series.

It just ends up as a total cluster. While it gave some fun ship battles, there was no further content to it. I ended buying a Shrike to bully ships with missiles though - not because I can't fight, but people were just jumping out as soon as they took damage, and the missiles gave a chance to stop the jump as they needed to dodge and break the lock.

That Corsair was such a dick when you consider that you could have dropped a bomb on his head when you first saw him but you let him live 🙄. In many ways an A1 OR A2 could be the perfect Pyro ship if you subscribe to the "shoot first; ask questions later" ethos which, to be honest, is the more sensible way to go if we were not so nice. Arrive at village. See another ship. 'cleanse' village to be safe 😅
@EeroafHeurlin11 ай бұрын
The NPC faction would probably frown upon the collateral damage and reputation is going to be everything in pyro, one *has* to stay friendly with at least one faction that controls stations. Completely indiscriminate murderhobos will not be able to survive in pyro for long, when every faction hates them they better have the backing of an org with a full support fleet of Starfarers, Crucibles etc. And when we have social network affecting rep, very few orgs are going to want to incur the wrath of every faction in Pyro for supporting the murderhobos. Those Starfarers and Crucibles need to get their resources from somewhere too...
