Ironically this championship by the Blue Eagles put a stop on UP's aspiration of winning a back to back and their ambition for two crowns in a single year, and a dynasty of their own..had they won season 85,.they thought it will be an easy ride for them.for a three peat since Ateneo is on transition in season 86.( They'll will.be loosing Kouame, Dave and Bj for graduation.) And practically only Chiu will be the only holdover from season 82 champion team (season 82 Thirdy, Matt, Mike.Nieto, Adrian Wong and Isaac Go while in season 84-Tyler, Mamu Raffy, Jolo and Sj ) so practically all players in Ateneo will be a new generation of soon to be champions in the years to come.

No worries, the UAAP officials have started reviewing the games and as a result, Cagulangan will serve a suspension at the start of Season 86. Seems like Alarcon will also have the same fate 'coz just like the former, he incurred 2 unsportsmanlike foul during the series.
