I was watching how incredible of a father he was this round. I've noticed before they cut up and have fun, but what I didn't notice prior but picked up just now, (been a sub for like 7 months now) is that everytime Bill fist bumps their hoods, it's to get their attention to tell them he loves them. I also noticed that every time the boys bump in, Bill prays for their safety. Even takes his hat off to ask the lord for their safety. Bill, I truly hope to one day become half the father that you are. 🙏

Raced at Clay City a bunch, won several races there in 660 door car and 500 dragster. The faster you are, the left lane has a crown that will drive you towards the wall. Faster you go, the more you can tell. In my Dragster, you had to point towards the center line a touch. Right lane you didn't have to do that. Hope this helps, not the car, the track.

Billy, please listen. If you are going to run a wet sump BBC... .003-.0035 rod/.003 main clearance with an aluminum rod, 40 or 50 straight weight oil (Penn or Schaffer's), you should already have enough pump, 10qt oil pan. Cut and add to your pan if necessary. That's shifting at 8,000-8,200. Clean out and enlarge all of your drain backs as much as possible. I also had -10 lines from the back of the valve covers down to the pan. Ive been running methanol turbo stuff since well before you had a license. There are specific things they need in order to live. Brian also makes the best lifters. BAM steel bushed, DLC coated. Put a flat of rear steer in the Falcon.

Aluminum has a linear rate of heat expansion twice that of steel/iron so you can stay closer to the thou per inch average clearance. I typically shoot for a half thou to one thou Xtra for steel rods. If the Aluminum block has steel main caps I generally prefer to stay at my cast iron block clearances. I wonder what their clearances was set at on the nova/BBC. I know that much oil pressure would worry me to death. Todays racing filters and billet pumps can probably handle it but like most applications pressure adds heat. I know it sounds silly but I've heard old time round trackers say just like to little pressure can spin a bearing really high pressure can also. It just don't seem possible to apply enough pressure to increase the shear rate of oil to the point of spinning a bearing, but I like to keep mine in check just the same.

@Steven Belue if it were an aspirated motor, I would say stick to around .0025 cold, but its not. When that motor is at operating temp you want .004-.0045 clearance. I think you're forgetting that at the end of the day its a blown alcohol setup. On our TAFC I run .005 clearance and it goes through the big end at about 150psi oil pressure. And what did we run before all of these beautiful Brad Anderson motors were available?? Big block Chevys. If he loosens the bottom end a shade, oil pressure will fall in line to a more "normal" area. That motor is capable of 3,500hp+ if the head flow is there and it will live just fine.

Billy you may never see this comment but the moment with you and your dad after realizing the car was hurt again hit me in the gut. I lost my dad in 2012 to Alzheimer’s disease. He was only 58. I now have an 8 year old little guy named Paxton and I’m 36. It’s been from 2012 when my old man died until this past Sunday since I’ve had a car again and not for nothing I would give anything to have my dad here to see all the ls stuff and what guys are doing with turbos and what not. Anyway never forget that moment or ones like it with your dad because it’s a sickening feeling when you can’t have them anymore. Love watching you and your family keep it up brother

SOB! I can't believe the bearing spun, that really sucks. So much hard work down the drain. At least now y'all can concentrate on a better oiling system to get rid of those problems once and for all!
