i know Ozzy did wrong with what he did to Sharon and his addictions to drink and drugs, but i can't help feeling sorry for him during this interview. It feels as though they are 'picking' on him a bit. I'm sure Ozzy feels bad, in fact i know he does, but he appears to slump and drop his head cos they aren't believing him. I'm not defending what he did, but he has done so well compared to how he was in The Osbournes to now.

My Sister, who was mentally ill at the time picked up a butcher knife to kill me with no cause... she was slow in her movements which allowed me to escape but for about 15 minutes it was like Pepe le Pue and the black cat in the cartoon. I ran.. she walked slow... I was trying the whole time to convince her not to kill me. I eventually got in my car, locked the doors, and tried to start it. Just like in a horror movie, it took about 5 times before the car started. She has little or no memory of it all. People can flip out for no reason. Do I defend the actions of Ozzy or my Sister? No... but I do understand and forgive. Gordie

My sister and dad BOTH had mental illness. But, both had NOT been so beyond reality that they wanted to harm any of us family members, BUT, my sister DID at 1 time want to shoot a man who she had been convinced had been out to kill HER. Thank God (or somebody) that she had NOT been able to legally get that gun. UNFORTUNATELY my sister committed suicide in 2017. She was going to nursing school, and she was having some problems due to her mental illness, like hearing voices, and paranoid thoughts. BUT, these people who must have thought that THEY were just "the best of the best" OR something, had started to "pick on" some people who they figured they COULD pick on and get away with it. Eventually, due to her mental illness, my sister quit attending classes. Now, this may sound stupid, but, my sister repeated a well known saying. "Nurses eat their young". So, I can only guess that means that in the nursing profession, that older nurses are out to attack those who are new to the profession. But, my sister had been able to pass or graduate the course by taking a test, she had gone up and got her degree, and they passed out little figurines of bunny rabbits, and HERS had been a bunny who was in tears. We still have it. It's a crying bunny. The only sense of it that I can make is that they were making fun of her. My sister had committed suicide not long after being made fun of by a bunch of people who had also been said to be mentally ill. This had been a good while AFTER that nursing school bunch of bullsh*t. But, she had gone back home to her home in New York before she committed suicide All of that shameful stuff had happened in Pa, BUT, she had eventually moved to New York and married a guy who had also had mental illness, and had NOT been able to care for her right because of HIS OWN mental problems. He had been mean to her right before she had killed herself. Although SHE had done it to herself, it had been him that had ignored her last words. "If you don't let me go home, I'm going to kill myself". I'm kinda THINKING that he must have said, "well, then go ahead". She wanted to be with him, but, he would tell her to go away when she wanted to be with him. AND, get THIS, that SOB came to our house and stayed in our driveway for about 4-5 months back in 2021. When her body was in the morgue in NY, HE would NOT release her body for days to us. The cops investigated HIM as being a possible killer of her simply because she had been dead for a couple of days before HE had even known about it. She would stay upstairs in what was basically a separate apartment, and HE would stay downstairs. She would go down to where he was and try to watch Tv with him, and he'd say "You have your own TV upstairs". The cops had cleared him as far as him killing her, BUT, I am just so sure that his nastiness to her and non caring ways had been what had really made her give up. She was ALSO mentally ill. She had really needed to be around people who were going to stay on top of making sure that she was NOT slipping into a dark hole. When HE had come from New York to our yard, and stayed here for at least 3 or 4 months, he had written my mom a letter about not "overstaying his welcome", BUT, he DID. He would sleep in his car< BUT, used our "wi fi" and would come in the house and talk to my mom for HOURS, and that was fine, UNTIL he would then come into the living room, which is where I stay. I mean my mom and him would be in her room for hours, door open, NOTHING funny going on. BUT, THEN< they'd come into the living room where I have been LIVING ever since I had gotten into a bad car wreck back in 2019. My broken bones have healed, BUT, I am now happy STILL living in the "living room". We would be watching a true life "Murder mystery" show, my mom and I get into that, BUT, HE would be talking really LOUD to my mom, and then, HE took our dogs toy, and hid it from him and was laughing as our dog was whining and upset about it. I had said that when we were watching these shows to be quiet. I looked at my mom while he was doing this, and she was clearly trying to ignore it all. I just HAD to ask him what the F his problem was. Seeing him tease our dog was just beyond what I could put up with. Right now I am trying to recall just HOW he had ended up being in our house without our female dog "Addy" not biting him. We've had her for at least 3 years, and really, she would have been very likely to have bitten him. Anyway, eventually, I had thrown a fit after going into our outbuilding, and seeing that HE had been buying some stuff like a "camping bed", and a tent. Also some "cushiony type mattress material". It had been clear to me that he had been planning on staying with us for a good while. We still have lots of his crap still in our barn/ outbuilding. IF I had NOT thrown a fit saying that "I want him gone" over and over, he would have been staying here a LOT longer. He teased our sweet dog, and I am sure that his CRUELTY led to his one time wife, MY SISTER giving up on life. My mom gave them a car,. so that she could get out of the house once they moved form one place in NY to another place in NY that hadn't had as many bus routes and ways to get around. BUT, KING PRICK told my sister the car needed to be repaired, and that they couldn't afford to fix it. My parents sent them money in the amount that KING PRICK said the mechanic said it would cost to fix the car. My parents had also bought them a washer and dryer from LOWES, and had it delivered to their home. The SOB would NOT hook it up for her. I don't know WHY he would have NOT done what would have been a really easy peasy job. Maybe he was just too stupid? I am not sure just HOW my sister did their laundry. My sister was NOT DUMB, and she COULD be really have (after being away from him, and able to get her bearings) eventually able to put that PRICK "in his place", BUT, he had been able to bombard her with enough negativity to wear on her hard, and she had just been so deflated that she had given up on life. If she had NOT been in New York, maybe we all could have seen her mental state going so far down. Even IF her husband had NOT been the cause of her suicide, I just have to say that HE sure as hell did NOT play ANY role of "comforter" or even "friend". In fact when she had come to Pa to see us, she had come in a very odd way. She had flown to Pa to see us (just 1 time this way) and she had bought herself some "Crocs" at the airport, and she had NOT been quite CLOTHED PROPERLY. Now, I am not sure about all of the specifics, BUT, she had been kinda "out of it" when she had arrived. I may be wrong BUT, she MAY have lost her purse, BUT, we found it for her by going to the lost and found at the airport. By now, most people have lost interest, BUT, I am really aware of just how the mentally ill people in our lives can end up not doing so good sometimes. I am really doubting that many people are still reading this comment of mine. Most family's are full of sane and happy people, and there is nothing wrong with that. But, i must admit that I really haven't had much experience with any family's like that, LOL!!! My 2 BEST friends in school BOTH had dad's who had been beyond SANE. And, that did make it easier for me to deal with my own daddy's "issues". I know that THIS is just SO LONG, and maybe you guys want to just NOT respond to it, so, IF that is true, I understand. Chances are that MOST folks would just NOT even read it all. BUT, IF anybody DOES read it, I have spoken from my heart, and I admit that I have had some Vodka, BUT, I am trying to be all about what is my sisters story, and anything that is about my dad and how it was when he was alive and I was a kid. And, I am NOT sure how much I can blame anybody about anything. SO, IF you see that maybe I need to hear something, TELL ME, and IF I wanna strike back, I WILL.

I personally feel they're both to blame! They each allowed the other to physically/ mentally abuse the other without properly addressing it for many years! You can't accept help unless you want it and I'm sure Sharon was pushing him towards help for a long time before he actually got it. She is an incredibly strong woman to stand by him through all of it.

This type of thing goes hand in hand with Parkinson’s which can lead to dementia. Now we all look back on this we can start to see when it set in. It takes many years for doctors to realise so many people have neurodegenerative diseases. It’s not good enough. More research needed. More people need to be listened to. 🙏🏻

True BUT: his part of responsibility were alcohol and drugs, which he put right into his body with his very own hands. There’s a huge difference between people who are unfortunate to get a mental disease without taking drugs of any kind and those who ruin their health themselves.

Lovely comment. I spent many many years battling heroin, crack, benzos and alcohol. I've been in hospital loads of times, homeless, lost everything and was in prison. I'm clean now a few years but the ONLY person to blame is me. Nobody else. Its not the dealer's fault. Not society or anything... It is mine. I wanted to find a way to fill in this black hole inside me and heroin did it. I'd cut myself as a teenager to let the pain out and have control over it... Then I'd be there for an hour and a half with scores of bleeding puncture marks, needles clogged with blood...just abusing myself to get a few hours of 'peace'.. Its always been my fault and always will be. I was a selfish, nasty, mean c*nt and I hate to think of what I was like and I physically cringe sometimes when I get a memory. I lie awake at night sometimes and just soak in regret.. I deserve all of that. I deserve to fight this every hour sometimes. I deserve to feel the guilt and shame. I've destroyed so much but it's my weight to carry. That's the price I have to pay.

Sounds like my parents marriage a bit. My dad attacked my mom and she hit him back and made marks on him, so the cops asked HIM if HE wanted to press charges on HER, now HE started it all, and was "off his rocker" mentally ill and off his meds. He said "no" though, and when he got "committed" I was SO happy. He got committed another point in time, NOT as a result of the fight I mentioned here. He WAS TRULY a danger to himself and others at THIS point in time leading to his "commitment". Once he got much older he kept on his meds most of the time, and it was good having him home. It can be HELL living with a mentally ill person, Sharon HAD to be strong to last with Ozzy all this time, like my mom was strong.

@@piffpaff9674 Thanks for your reply. But, seeing how my dad had been mentally ill, had actually shown me that life is NOT perfect for some of us. And, oddly enough, Ozzy Ozbourne had been seen by me and my sister (RIP) that people are people, and that our DAD had been mentally ill, just like OZZY, and that they just need to be seen by the right Doctors, ,and MAYBE once they get on the right MEDS, THEN, they can be kinda "normal" again. BUT, my dad had died back in 2016 from some PHYSICAL illnesses. He HAD been mentally OK at the time. But, it had been his LUNG issues that did him in. He had emphysema, and before we had him transffered him from a great hospital (he had reached his time limit to be there according to insurance) to a "Nursing home", he had been doing good. BUT, it just seemed as he went from doing well to being DEAD. At the time, my mom would NOT insist on an autopsy. REally, I must admit to you all that I HAVE had a good bit of VODKA before I have typed out this comment, so, IF you want to tell me to get bent, I understand. I will just say that my mom wanted my dad to come home, even though they had fought alot, they did love each other, and it WAS alot just like Sharon and Ozzy, BUT, my mom would NEVER agree that THEY were ever like Sharon and Ozzy. Now, my dad had NOT cheated on my mom, at least THAT had NEVER been proven or shown as being possible. If my dad would have ever cheated on her, and she knew about it, there would have SURELY been a divorce, NO question about it. My mom is NOT as understanding as Sharon has been about that. Our family is NOT so different than the Ozbourne's are, BUT, my mom would NEVER admit that. Sure, my dad has never bitten the head off of any insect or mammal. But, he has done some really odd things when he has been off of his meds. I can't prove it, BUT, I am just thinking that nursing home killed my dad by dehydrating him. He had been on a saline drip when he had been in the hospital, and THEN when they moved him to the nursing home, he had NOT been given ANY fluids except for some that had been given to him via a stomach tube. I had to INSIST they give him some extra fluids via a direct shot into his stomach tube. I mean WHY would he go from getting IV fluids in the hospital, to THEN getting NO IV fluids in the nursing home? This sh*t haunts me. We should have insisted that he go back to that hospital ASAP. People reading this, IF you have an older family member who is now in a nursing home, make DAMN sure that you keep up with just how good care they are taking of your family member. I used to work in a few different nursing homes over the years, AND, "hydration" is a BIG issue when it comes to the care of the elderly. I had always worked in the kitchen of those nursing homes. And, they would have us make up trays of extra juice or stuff like "Ensure" or "Glucerna" for the nursing staff to give to the patients. BUT, in most cases, it is that the staff is just so "bare bones" that not enough nursing people are on shift to even take on the job of making sure that those patients are able to be given those extra fluids. And, when the food trays are passed out, there are also NOT ENOUGH staff to take the time to try to feed any patients that are just NOT going to eat on their own, or that will be easily convinced to eat if maybe somebody takes some time to say the right words that will make them want to eat. Wow, my comment is just SO LONG, and I can see why NOBODY would want to reply to me, I HAVE had some booze, BUT, I just wanna say that NOBODY is perfect, and even if some of us have a dad that is a bit of a "nutter", as long as HE has shown us his LOVE in some way, you just have to overlook his shortcomings or illnesses that MAY have made you feel bad as a child. I know that when MY DAD had been 5 or 6 years old, HIS parents MADE HIM get out of bed, and start up the furnace at the school where HE had went to learn at, and feed coal into that furnace. He had to walk about 3 miles to get there, and any money he had earned went directly to his parents. And, my dad at 5 or 6 years old, had been teased by his schoolmates, they called him "Andy coal bucket". Just IMAGINE that. 5 or 6 years old, and being FORCED to work, and it had been HIS MOM (my Grandma) who's name had been on the application for employment. They did that with all but 1 of their sons, they had all boys, 6 of em. My Grampa on my dad's side was a BIG ole DRUNK, but, he did manage to retain his job in the coal mines. He had once even been a BOSS, and his addiction had gotten him fired as being a BOSS in the mines, BUT, he had been able to still be kept on as being a guy in the mines. His drunkeness had actually saved his life once. I THINK it had been in the "rabina" mines, or the "Rabina mine collapse", that my Gramps had called off drunk, and the guy who had filled in for him had died when the mine had collapsed. Talk about being LUCKY. Sorry if I have been boring the crap out of you guys. I have inherited my family way of liking some booze.

I had seen much of Ozzy in my dad, BUT, my dad NEVER did try to choke my mother, he did do many things that were awful, AND my mom WOULD GIVE him everything she could back, I am talking physical abuse, BUT, my dad actually had been the 1 who had bruises, he did get rough with my mom, but, HE had the bruises, because she hit his legs with a mop stick, in return of HIS ATTACK, and he was asked if HE was willing to press charges. He said "no" thank goodness, but, in reality, HE STARTED IT. I know that for a fact.

Ummm, Ozzy wasn't as wealthy as you seem to think when they met...and truthfully, even if he had been, without Sharon he wouldn't have lived to enjoy it. ...the facts are, that Sharon marrying him kept him alive. Her managing him, jump started his solo career...her continued management, has him twice as wealthy as Iommi, and four times wealthier than anyone else in Sabbath. ...Sharon obviously loves the man, she's put up with more shit than most people ever would, she even gave up her relationship with her father for Ozzy. Talking shit about Sharon doesn't hurt her, if it would ever hurt anyone...it would be Ozzy, he loves her.

To each is own. But you have to understand that when he did that he was out of it on drugs and alcohol. You don’t seem to understand how that shit will literally change you into a completely different person. That’s not even an exaggeration. And no, I’m not justifying his actions but Ozzy is not like that when he is straight and Ozzy felt like absolute shit when he woke up in jail sober and found out what he had just done to his wife.

I must say that she just may HAVE to do that sometimes, IF he will get too egotistical without somebody to bring him back to reality. BUT IF she does it and he would'nt get too out of hand otherwise MAYBE she is doing something wrong. I tend to think that Sharon has put up with alot of shit from Ozzy, he had recently (I'm talking a couple years ago tops) cheated on Sharon with THEIR hairdresser, when I say THEIR I mean the FAMILY'S hairdresser she was their hair stylist and family friend, and she F'ed Ozzy right under Sharon' s nose, SO, IF you asked me, Sharon wasn't mean enough to OZZY, AND IF anyone says maybe she was TOO mean and that is why Ozzy cheated.... really. I am thinking Ozzy just wanted some strange.

What a sick man he is! Forget about him being a rockstar; that’s not important. She and the kids should have left him immediately once he got violent. He needed medical care then and maybe now. Spoiled, violent men should be left alone. They cannot be rescued unless they go for a long-termed medical Programme. Nobody has the right to cause so much pain to his own family. Nobody!

Please, Sharon didn't have to stay, she wanted to be the rock star's wife and cash in on the wealth and fame. And now Sharon wants to keep Ozzy in the shame chair while she indulges herself in martyrdom.

You're right about Ozzy not having much money after Sabbath, a lot of the guys didn't know about royalties or that the houses they lived in weren't owned by them. They got ripped off a lot, then again it was easy because they were all so heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol.
