Great video and I picked up some useful ideas. I know Slinger recommends the excellent Wilson Trinity balls for use with their machine, but sometimes I like to put in a mix of different brands, and some old balls as well as new to because then they all come across the net with different speeds and bounce and simulate the variation you would get playing a human opponent, especially when you use the oscillator.

Hello, I’m looking for your comments that include the settings you used for each drill, but like everyone else, cannot see them
@notfederer4 жыл бұрын
the URL for this video should be printed in Slinger Bag manual. the court position of the bag in each of these drills offsets the heavy topspin making it more appropriate as a warm-up. the ball trajectory more closely resembles the strokes of non-ATPers. would love to see the settings as well.

Kelly Harrington I would love to see an option to condense the size for transport/use with half the ball capacity (ie just big enough to accommodate one case of 72 balls when ball well compartment is zipped down to the smaller size... this would also make it more easily transportable and stored in small spaces, and accommodate carrying it in backpack mode of covering uneven terrain or snow getting it to the court. Also, as a beginner, I’d love the option to narrow the osolatation pattern

@danielali65714 жыл бұрын
Can it come out faster? How fast. Be good to get the balls much quicker to simulate someone returning the ball after your hit it. Is very good for technical practise but gives a lot of time on the shots

just ordered mine. any recommendations on how to best practice return of serve?
@vasocreta4 жыл бұрын
I think this is probably the main weak point of the Slinger bag. I think it works fairly well if you are looking to practice return on a decent second serve with topspin, but the settings do not really allow one to replicate harder flatter serves. However, I do think that the Slinger has plenty of range in settings to help you learn to deal with a "heavy" ball--lot's of topspin, high bounce to replicate a kick serve and enough pace to keep you on your toes. I've been using mine for a few months now and I love it!
@youngsuit4 жыл бұрын
@@vasocreta ok not a bad idea! So crank it up and get the ball to land in the service box maybe?

For the ball to not get stuck I applied the "Professional-Grade Moldable Plastic Pellets by Polly Plastics" from amazon. I applied it on that panel in a slopy mold and glued it. To fix the issue of the ball not feeding I molded more of that noted mold and shaped the mold so that the crosswise shaft is further raised up a bit more than an inch and glued it on. On the dial section for adjusting the ball height from the luanch pad I appied a white "Fine Paint Marker for Rock Painting-Stone, Ceramic, Metal, Glass, Wood,Set of 6 Paint Pens High Volume Ink High Volume Ink for DIY Craft" from Amazon. I applied it on the black line marker for better visibility even from a distance. On the opening of the bag from the top entrance to place the racket I placed an elastic fiber string crosswise (made two a heated metal hole on both sides) and that is where I hang my towel. There's more but this is enough for now. Thanks for letting me share.
@robertolombardi67462 жыл бұрын
How can you say it's a valid machine. Speed and spins are more or not enough (max 75kmh!) and ball feeding not possible to be set as a real game. if you place the machine at the opposite side of the court the power will not be enough to go over the net! Good to be used by less than beginners.

@TennisWithDennis3 жыл бұрын
It probably doesnt have the power?
@abrahamlincoln16773 жыл бұрын
@@TennisWithDennis It does have the power, I think the closer you put it to you, the slower you can put the speed setting, and that puts less top spin on the ball....makes it closer to a flat ball.

Hi Ashley, I appreciate the volleys you are practicing that are of head size, but how can you practice volleys that are on your chest or stomach level with the Slinger bag? coz in real match on the net you gonna get many balls coming right just over the net, so how can you practice those shots with this slinger bag.

@youngsuit3 жыл бұрын
@@elblopex i get it. so the topspini on this machine is crazy. and the only way to get deeper feeds on this machine is to crank up the velocity which also cranks up the topspin and makes for a pretty tough ball. when you're warming up it's a little bit of a high intensity.
