I bought a Slinger Bag in 2022. Works great and is easy to use if you want to work on your game or merely for the satisfaction of smashing groundstrokes. I find the quality is high for a "budget" machine. (zippers, wheels, battery life...) This season I've switched to pressure-less balls and find they spin less on the fastest setting. I use it approx 2 hrs per week, no arm issues here. I have the oscillator but rarely use it, one more thing to lug around IMO... Overall I highly recommend it. Also, huge props to Jonas, this channel is excellent!

I have one and not many people can hit well with it at max settings because of its spin. Especially if you use pressure less tennis balls which are even heavier than pressurised tennis balls. This allows you to know that no matter what level you are you can find a good enough setting where it matches your level.

Thanks Jonas. Have had a Slinger for over 2 years. Excellent for fine tuning technique and a cardio workout with the oscillator. Best used with pressure-less balls however hitting too long with them can start to cause some arm stiffness. On avg I use the machine about once a week so I have had my money's worth. :)

Thanks for the comment, Anthony. Yeah, cardio and technique are two pros with a ball machine

I made the following adjustments on my Slinger ball machine - it seems the new model could use the following as well: For the ball feeding to keep on, as it would stop feeding at times, I applied the "Professional-Grade Moldable Plastic Pellets by Polly Plastics" from amazon. I mounted it on top of the rotating crosswise panel. I shaped the mold to have four vertically crossed panel then have placed it on top of the crossed panel and have placed a glue to adhere permanently. This will help fix the issue of the ball from sometimes stop launching for a while and instead will keep a regular steady feed flow. On the dial section for adjusting the ball height from the launch pad I applied a white "Fine Paint Marker for Rock Painting-Stone, Ceramic, Metal, Glass, Wood,Set of 6 Paint Pens High Volume Ink High Volume Ink for DIY Craft" from Amazon. I applied the white marker on the etched black line marker for better visibility, even from a distance. On the opening of the bag from the top entrance to place the racket I placed an elastic fiber string crosswise (made two holes on each side with a heated pointy metal) and that is where I hang my towel. There's more but this is enough for now. Thanks for letting me share.

I haven’t really tried it from behind the net. I’ve always set it up slower speed in front of the net because the spin is no joke lol. Couldn’t beat it for $500 to get solo workout or rep out a shot.

Bought mine in 21. Overall happy with the purchase but it does have a few design issues some of which are user-fixable with some effort and patience. Most notably, there's always up to 10 balls left in the hopper when the machine has "run out". For users complaining about the topspin, please lookup the difference between single-belt and dual-belt ball machines. Slinger is a simple and affordable machine. The only way to reduce topspin on a single-belt (where ball speed and RPM aren't independently adjustable) is to dial back "speed" and position the machine closer to the player. Hope that helps. Has its flaws but worth the money for me.

Mine has worked great since 2020. I'm on my 4th ball tube tho (previous 3 replaced under warranty and were of an older design)

I have the older version. The remotes were not great quality and needed replacement, buttons got stuck/wore out. But otherwise no issues, I enjoy it. By slowing down the speed and altering the launch angle, you can cut down on the heavy topspin a little if you're more of a beginner to intermediate level. Slinger just released a companion app with a paid subscription option for swing/movement analysis via camera phone footage. I have not tested this yet. It's available for android as well as apple, unlike Swingvision.

I have one, and this machine I can hardly recommend to any beginner. It only has one spin wheel, so all the balls coming to you with super strong topspin, even you set to low speed. However, if you are a 2.5+ player and want to practise baseline skills with more intensity, it is really a solid machine for low budget.

Had one for 3 years. Very reliable. But too heavy and cumbersome. Just bought a Nisplay and I hope it works out. I know it’s much lighter and has more spin options.

Do you know when they might start making them again! I feel like it’s been sold out for awhile now.

Had it for less than a year before selling it about bought a hydrogen proton. I guess I am on the lazy side. Taking the machine in and out the car was a hassle, and monkeying around with knobs and latches by trial and error was a big headache. Used less than 10 times in a year. But it is a very affordable option, by a big margin, and some of the more expensive ones are also inconvenient.

I looked at one for my club when they first released. It only shot out balls with top spin but didn’t have a function for back spin or flat balls. Does this updated version have those functions?

I've been in the market for a new tennis ball machine for many months and wanted to replace my current lobster machine with a Slinger Bag. But, it is impossible to buy a slinger bag. It seems I'd have better luck striking oil in my front yard...lol. There seems to be a lot people wanting to purchase this product but there aren't any available. It's as if they don't want to make money. What a horribly run company.

I think they are poorly made. Mine lasted about 2 years and broke down. If I were to do it over I'd pay a couple of hundred more for a better machine that is built to last.

Bought a ball machine for the second time last year. Have used it twice. Convenience over everything else when it comes to deciding on a machine to buy. Lugging out massive equipment is not fun.

Sorry guys I believe u should not advertise (definitely not a review here I hope) for products like this.... Just look how hard is for Nikki to hit that ball back (how's actually a great player) and he's pretty much missing all the balls and that's only BECAUSE OF THE TREMENDOUS TOP SPIN THIS MACHINE PRODUCES😢 To limit the budget the maker of this machine is using one wheel only (the wheel/s inside the machine that spins and sends the ball out) instead of two wheels which all other brands are using so you can create flat shots or different spins direction on the ball. So when you're using/playing from the other side of the net it's getting extremely difficult especially if you're a beginner or intermediate player.. I mean what's the point of it? 99% of players will hit flat and/or with a bit o topspin or loads of slices😂 ...so seriously what's the point? Unless you want to see how Nadal's ball feels like? 😅 Had this machine when it came out few years ago and after 20 minutes I've put it back in the box and send it back.. I rather spend few more hundreds and get a proper machine. Although I have to say the portability and the fact that the material it's made it's quite soft so you're not damaging your car when moving it around or the fact that will allow you to keep the balls and one or two rackets inside it makes it quite practical but not enough to invest in it...sorry this is my personal opinion. Thanks

thank you man i almost bought one just now, which was an used one (2 years). i'm an absolute beginner and literally got no tennis partner to feed me balls so i had decided to get a budget friendly one until i read ur comment lol

As ball machine specialist i get pain in my eyes. How you know you betray people interested in a ball machine. (1) Only 1 shooting wheel so only low speed topspin balls, (2) machine should stand almost at or before net to get ball deep, (3) all fixed positions and height set manually. You should never have seen a ball machine (or being sponsored by Slingerbag) to be happy with such a machine. Also low quality because big part only made of plastic.
