I love watching your videos. As a former professional in the 80’s, the whole idea of rehearsing and performing and then still doing your vlogs is crazy to me. Do make sure to schedule downtime when the run is done. So important for both body and mind. You have come so far ❤

Thank you so much for finding the time to make a video despite the intensity of your week! It is lovely to hear from you and to enjoy your journey with you. That’s wonderful your parents were both able to watch you perform and that you could visit with them. I am super proud of you for recognizing that your 100% on one day may not look like your 100% on another day. “And that’s fine.” 🎯🎯🎯 Your ability to feel gratitude even during difficult times is one of the most important keys to mental resilience. Also, in your far distant future, when you look back at this time in your life, you will feel proud of what you accomplished. This includes deeply significant epiphanies and socializing. And you won’t have regrets. You are an amazing human being and your parents must be so proud!! Best wishes to you, your family and friends and everyone!! 🙏😛💜🍀💐🌤✨

Thank you so much. It’s so true that often things that I’ve felt down about and disappointed in within the present I actually reflect on and feel proud of at a later date when I’m able to gain more perspective. It’s a difficult struggle of being a perfectionist and a human being. The two don’t seem to work too well together sometimes 😂😂
@dronesclubhighjinks9 ай бұрын
@@HannahMartinRG Now that is very interesting wording and a terrific insight: “it’s a difficult struggle being a perfectionist and a human being. The two don’t seem to work too well together sometimes.“ As I gained life experience, I learned that every personality trait has a good side and a bad side. The key is to find the balance. So I suggest embracing the positives of perfectionism, which has helped you to reach the highest levels of rhythmic gymnastics and ballet. I think you are 21 years old now? So at 15-16 you were competing in the commonwealth games as the youngest English competitor and only three (?) years later, you were hired as a professional ballet dancer at one of the most highly respected companies on the planet. THIS IS JAW-DROPPINGLY AMAZING!! Oh, and you also participated on “the greatest dancer” and made it to the semis. Even if you “only“ made it through the auditions, this is still an incredible achievement of which few people can boast. Ask yourself: 1. If you were to hear this quick biography of anybody else, how would you feel about them? 2. If you were to meet your 10-11 year old self (however old you were when you decided you wanted to become serious about RG), and you told your younger self what the next 10 years holds for her, how would she react? Dealing with the negatives of perfectionism: 1. Your daily Bible study and quiet time (and that you have decided to prioritize this), 2. Your ability and willingness to reflect on your experiences, and emotions, 3. Your constant desire to improve, including at dancing, but also personal growth, 4a) Positive self talk is incredibly important. I wish I had learned about that 30 years sooner than I did lol. b) Choosing to disregard negative self talk. There is a difference between honest self criticism done in a kind way (like you would speak to a friend) and negative self talk. Look up the cognitive distortions because a lot of negative self talk will be on this list. 5. Remember everything you have achieved up to this point, including your successful recovery from surgery! 6. Sense of humor! This includes an ability to laugh at oneself. 7. Socializing! Probably most of your ballet friends are also perfectionists, and it can really help to talk to others who have the same difficult balancing act. 8. Gratitude for everything, of which I know you have tons! Hope this helps! You are a very unusual and extremely high achieving person. You could just spend your videos talking about how great you are and legitimately so, but instead you continue to be humble and you are always trying to improve. What a gem! 💎 Best wishes to you and your family and friends!! 🙏💜🧡💚🥰🌺🎶🩰💫

As a natural lefty who was made to perform everything to the right BETTER than to the left, I’m really grateful that my coach/teacher/mentor Yelena Ryabinkina from the Bolshoi Academy did that. I’m now a completely even ballerina 🩰! Diana et Acteon variation left turn sequence? No problem! Lilac Fairy extensions is in act 1 and enveloppés to both sides? Excellent! Italian fouettés to either side? Yes 🙌🏻 degagé turns? Yes. Whenever I see you dancing I feel like you are very balanced - it’s a compliment and it has kept me injury free! Now question 🙋🏻♀️ if you had the option for let’s say the 32 fouettés what side would you choose? What side do you prefer overall? 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇺🇦🇷🇺🇷🇴🩰 1:13
@HannahMartinRG9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! That’s a huge compliment as I’m really trying to be balanced. My definite inkling is to go the left. But pose turns and chaines I like to do the right 😂 fouettés would be a definite left! How did you get so balanced? Just extra practice to the weaker side?
@isabelaandzico9 ай бұрын
When I got to Moscow Yelena Ryabinkina, praise God, took an interest in me and recognized right away that I was a lefty and took it upon herself to turn me into a even ballerina because she knew that I’d need it, so I practiced a lot. My flexibility was already pretty balanced… she’d tell me that there were left moments and that id get more opportunities for being able to do both. I’m very intense from young age so that’s what I did. Fouettés to the left all day!!!🩰🫶🏻

Hi Hannah, I'm curious to know if you up your protein intake during your show week to help manange the fatigue?
@HannahMartinRG9 ай бұрын
I have to up my calorie intake significantly during show periods as the energy expenditure is through the roof. You are also so tired all the time so you need to find the energy from somewhere as resting isn’t often an option. I’m still finding a balance with this, but I’m getting better at knowing how much I need in order to give a confident performance

@@HannahMartinRG oh I can fully understand being an insomniac myself and I know how bad sleep deprivation is for me it’s not to be underestimated.
