This Inter miami loss is a blessing in disguise. It shows that local talent can compete with probably the best attack in MLS ( the duo of the MSN trio which terrorized the defenders of Europes big clubs). Secondly the MLS is not rigged for Messi and last but not least, MLS is a competitive league.

In 2014 Messi losses World Cup final , two years after he loses two Copa America finals in 2015 and 2016. Somehow football was really "fair" back then (according to clowns). When Messi started winning trophies with Argentina everything became "rigged". He joins Inter Miami and wins League's Cup , with the worst team in the MLS and people call that rigged as well. Disagree on the assessment of Inter Miami defense -since the inter offense puts no pressure on the opposing teams it creates havoc on the Inter defense. Opposing teams are allowed to move unpressured in the back and midfield which turns Inter games into shootouts where more often their final third quality prevails..... but it also makes them easy to play against and hang in if you have unpressured space to work and counter effectively.

And it's not that we just care about Messi, the league itself is actually interesting and competitive, but it's not possible for most of us to watch many games due to the time zones. I literally had to wake up at 1am/2am/3am to watch Intermiami play, I had no issue because it's Messi and Intermiami... But no way I will be waking up for other games, it's just too much. LA Galaxy is the only strongest team out there that can win it all if they win next week and LAFC loses to seattle its set for them to get their 6th trophy. Much of the doomspeak, negativity and snark since Miami's ousting has come from them. The free ride is over and the soup kitchen is closed this season. They can no longer just name drop-Messi for hits and to meet quota on their articles and podcasts.
