Inter Milan u13 | finishing | dribbling | defending

A great intense technical finishing/dribbling/defending exercise from Inter Milan's academy
with a progression.
DESCRIPTION: (1) The attacker dribbles quickly to the two cones and stops the ball dead with the sole of his foot then takes 3 quick steps backwards. Once the ball is stopped dead the defender (waiting on the endline next to the goal) pressures the attacker. The attacker has to get to the ball before the defender and attempts to score. If the defender gets a touch of the ball the play ends. Players return to the back of their respective lines.
PROGRESSION: (2) 2v1: after stopping the ball, taking 3 quick steps back and sprinting forward to the ball attacker 1 plays the ball wide to attacker 2 who plays the ball back one-touch before overlapping attacker 1 into the area. Attackers 1 and 2 take on the defender and attempts score.
Pro Tip: Make it a competition. Two teams, two 10-minute rounds giving each team a chance at attacking.
