Hi Maveric Trading, I'm very glad I found you channel!! When you selected any of those S&P or WTI Crude Oil ... contracts, you had different choices between the front month (March 23), and following ones (June 23 or Spet 23) but you had also another final possible choice "ES ∞ MAR Continuous(MAR)". Please, could you explain what it is?

Great Question. Continuous will always give the front contract (closest expiring) so you don't need to reload every symbol each month when one expires. For example, if you loaded the Dec 23 contract, once that contract expired, you would need to load the Jan 24 contract to get the most recent price on the closest contract. Using continuous just makes this exact thing happen every expiry.

I have a question with IBRK. I am not a future trader. Can clarify this one please?? After one trade with 16k margin in one day, Can I make (day trading) unlimited trade in "same day" or do I have to wait a day for 16k to settle and then be able to buy again?? I am confused with stock trading, which I wait T+2 days for cash settlement after sell.

If your account balance is under 25,000 USD, you will fall into the Pattern Day Trader rule. Any trade opened and closed the same day will be considered a "day trade" and you are allowed 3 in any 5 day period. This has nothing to do with settlement. Settlement is simply the day the cash from the trade has been settled by your broker and be available for withdrawal. All trades settle in T+2 regardless of the length of the trade. If you are trading in a cash account, you will have to wait for settlement before you can use your capital to place another trade. In a margin account, they make the cash available immediately for trading but you will have to wait for settlement for withdrawal. Hope this helps.

@@mavericktrading I am asking about Future trading. I heard that futures cannot be traded in cash account. It requires the used of margin. So, I think you are saying future trading is unlimited if margin requirement is met.

Great Question. No, you can't trade 1/2 contract of the micros. They used to only have the e-mini's until a year or two ago when they built the micro. Maybe one day, they will create a small contract that will give you the ability to trade that size. But, 1 contract micro is the smallest possible size today
