Love that room. You’re right about most ranges, I been told too many times to slow down. I wish they would at least allow double taps. I’ve became pretty good at double tap with my 1911 45acp but can’t get enough practice.

i hear you on that. I'm looking for my own land to shoot at for this reason. Everyone is making rules about speed shooting. I can't blame them when dipshits don't control their muzzles and shoot electrical boxes off the wall.

First thing my kid asked was "No recoil, how much good it that?" Told him "First on target wins". The laser is to practice acquiring a site picture. It's not a replacement for live fire, but nothing is a replacement for someone trying to kill you while you try to kill them first. It's just not practical to try to practice THAT.

combine these targets with a coolfire trainer and you can simulate recoil and be close to the real thing.

Absolutely, I notice a big improvement at the range when I keep up on my dry-fire practice, especially the first shot on target when drawing from concealment. And that’s just doing it the old-fashioned way. I’ve been considering going to a laser/interactive system, I can really see the merit in it.

Really cool system. Only one problem that this system can’t fix. You’re not breathing. Controlling your breathing is just as important as every other aspect of shooting: Stance; Grip; Sight alignment; Breath control (hmmm, there it is); Trigger squeeze. Don’t hold your breath, your body needs oxygen to stay in the fight. 😉🤓😎
@AlY-dr8hp5 жыл бұрын
Lenny, you have to practice your breathing while firing side to side..

That only applies for scoped rifle shooting. He's using a martial art breathing technique that helps clench your core before physical activity. It's also used in any type of body building.

Great benefit for target acquisition and sight picture leading into the first round. Not sure how valuable it is beyond single shot. No recoil to deal with for the double tap and beyond. Not being negative, just an observation. Great idea in my opinion.
@ModernGolfer6 жыл бұрын
Proper technique should minimalize that issue. Additionally, such practice is used as a supplement, not as a replacement. Such a system at (relatively) low cost also permits folks to sure more often, at home. Perhaps daily. Which is tremendously beneficial between trips to the range.

Lazer training is great for target practice, but you still need actual live fire practice. Big difference between a lazer and a live round. When we get to phazers , then no need for bullets.

Recoil doesn’t matter as it happens after the trigger pull. It’s shooters anticipating the recoil that causes a lot of their problems with accuracy. This is great training that will increase your accuracy. Retired Firearms Instructor here.

Whoa! -- These things are really expensive! $349.00 for the five laser targets you see here in the video. The circuitry in these toys is very simple and can easily be mass produced in China - or probably anywhere else - for about a dollar a piece. With the cheap plastic case it's in and the reflective paper target, they are probably sold for about $5 a piece from the manufacturer, which is a huge profit for them at that price. --- So, until someone else makes them available at a reasonable price, the Glock Store and other outlets of these targets are making a ton of money on them. But that's what early-adopters of most products pay to have them now instead of waiting for competition to bring the price down where it should be.
@DiesDasAnanas-r1p3 жыл бұрын
Here you are writing this 5 years later...and that's the price. Who determines what the price should be? You? Yeah nah bro, the market and the demand determines the price. The thing with the price is, that you personally perceive the price as too high..and that's totally ok. That only means that you did your personal cost- benefit analysis and you perceive your money more valuable than what the tool has to offer you. Most people probably came to the same conclusion that the benefit is not greater than they value their money. But as long as there are enough people buying this product, the price won't go down and it shouldn't go down, free market economy...gotta love it. Once nobody buys it anymore they'll adapt the price, or upgrade the product or maybe discontinue the product.. until then u gotta dry fire the old fashioned way, but don't hate the inventors and the entrepreneur spirit. I wish you have a good idea that sells well too and you're making a ton of money. And then you can buy this product ;)

I understand the skill, but this doesn't seem good for speed. The reason is a dbl or triple tap you need to bring the barrel back on the target between each shot. If the gun doesn't move it wont be realistic.

:( this makes sense why sirt training handguns do not really sell now when you have this for example if i could have a real firearm again this would be more practical than somthing with afew bad reviews and lacks functioning of a real firearm like racking the slide for example or have amalfunction with dummy rounds like with asystem like this

Actually single shot training is realistic. Reset triggers are bullshit. It’s the first shot that counts. When you have to make a follow up shot, your chances of surviving decrease dramatically. What isn’t realistic is firing a gun and not having recoil between shots.
