Btw, it is slightly better for W to play a trump at trick #2, some declarers might ruin the endplay :). Also much better for E to overtake the lead and play a D.

My first thought went to the endplay, be t I adopted the heart play because I felt doubleton diamond honor in east was more likely than Jx of hearts with West. What would be the better play, however, if you add the diamond 9 to either north or south

Cash in ace king of spide, ruf the last club, then king and ace of heart. 10 of diamond for small. WEST take and dont have any answer. Dont bother finess jack of heart. RD of diamond is certain in west. So the contract is 100%
