They're a little similar in meaning. However, 'heads-up' is much more informal. Also, the word 'caveat' is often used with the collocation 'There's one caveat, ...' 👍

Ballet is quite difficult similar to sorbet or valet. Also the followings can be difficult for someone: though, dough, chuffed, tranquility, expect, except, accept.
Henry What a genius memory you have! (It’s not hyperbole). I only remember the meaning of 10% of words on that list. Am I normal or is it the starting phase of Alzheimer? There must be at least 10 lessons more to cover all the words in your list.
@henrykhosasih87814 жыл бұрын
@@vietprintimeviet4740 Hahaha I wish I could remember all of these words in my head😄 but here's the truth. I love watching movies and TV shows. Everytime I hear unfamiliar words, I will immediately look them up on online dictionary. If the pronunciation is somewhat different from what I expect, I will add those words to my list. Therefore, I have a long list of words that I might pronounce them wrong 😆
@englishlessonswithsilviopa41396 ай бұрын
Actually about "often" I heard both ways used by native speakers in North America and Britain. Historically, the /t/ was pronounced but the current pronunciation was standardized after it stopped being pronounced (as in, e.g., listen, soften, glisten). Therefore, the modern forms where the /t/ is pronounced (compare oft) are spelling-influenced pronunciations. The traditional /t/-less form is considered by many to be “more correct” for that reason.

❤👍🌲My suggestion that drove me crazy to learn ( I STILL THINK I DON'T... ) is : THE Word "ASKED" when followed by US > He asked+us.... ; conked + out ; dimmed; get someone's DANDER up (the word DANDER is challenging because of the "a"); MacGuffin ; difference between REIGN and REIN (used on horses) > how could we make out one from the other? >AND the most Universal couple of words mispronounced > PIECE and PEACE. . A Brazilian former President made a fluff when He declared in NY We should give PIECE a chance (He mispronounced it... ) Can you imagine if it were BILL CLINTON saying that instead ???😉🙀👍
