Actually working on a project investigating the secondary development packages myself at the moment. Starting from the Gazebo end of the things, i have essentially duplicated the unitree_servo and extended it with custom commands. Really looking forward to your next vid!

I lost my leg below the knee in a motorcycle accident in 2004. I'm finally seeing some technology that I'm hoping will be applied to my prosthetic leg sooner rather than later. Sure wish I had gotten my degree in engineering rather than graphic arts and imaging technology

That's the one that "I did a thing" mounted a gun on, and the one that Russia showed with a missile launcher on top. Both concepts which do not work...
@ulforcemegamon30942 жыл бұрын
They both share a similar mistake , the weapons system they put in them is way oversized and the robot doesn't really has an progaming to take an extremely stable position to shot, pretty sure that if they just used an 9mm it would have worked better as the gun itself wouldn't be too heavy and the robot would handle the recoil
@graealex2 жыл бұрын
@@ulforcemegamon3094 Obviously, yes. But in a military context, 9mm is useless.
@ulforcemegamon30942 жыл бұрын
@@graealex quite , but a quadruped plataform better suited for that is either the Juaeying X20 or the B1 Unitree robótics dog , both weight 50 kg and can carry over 40kg of payload (85kg in the Juaeying X20 case) , as they are both heavier and also can carry heavier payloads , i believe they are better suited for carrying some weapons and handle the recoil of them , they still need some modifications thought

I’m excited to see this technology improves.... I can foresee a huge amount of use cases and also the potential for education and getting kids involved in robotics is just amazing! I’m a little disappointed about the huge difference in price between the Go1 PRO and the EDU but I guess it’s something we’ll have to wait until prices come down enough so researchers and particulars can access the technology.

On some videos featuring this robot, the 2nd level I believe, walk cycle it does a jog when in place. Is that changeable? Or is that due to the nature of mechanics in the transmission system?

All readers note how the company didn't bother to answer this very valid question. Right now Amazon offers it for $5000. No details. No info on support but I imagne these eggheads have no customer support skills except at a very highly technical level. As a electronics hardware engineer I could deal with them but most could not. And how is it that a Chinese company is markiting it now, with AliBabba selling it for $500?? What's really going on?

Wouldn´t it be feasible to ad different walking modes. Probably with the Go2 you would have to ad some more junctions and small feet so it can have a walk like a dog (woud save enery and make it move smarter e.g. in object prevention mode). For running methods I would first try dog style walking or even horse style (as it changes the walking style depening of the speed). I would definitively get one if I´d have the time...

Yes this thing is cute and all but there is no way I would ever let it in my house!!! Can you imagine the LEVEL of SPYING on you that this thing IS CAPABLE OF? If you thought Alexa was spying on you just remember that it could only do it from a stationery location or from the devices that it was connected to BY YOU!!! This thing I will call it a Vampire, has FREE movement throughout your HOME inside and outside and with the electronic and optical sensors that it has it will be able to map out your house inside and out, it will be able to see using video and hear audio and it could record both and send those recording to who knows where? Why do I call it a Vampire? For two reasons #1 A Vampire cannot enter a house unless invited by the owner; after the first invitation they can come and go as they please. #2 While a Vampire sucks your life BLOOD from you, this Vampire SUCKS everything that it SEES and HEARS about YOU and your FAMILY!!! Remember this thing is connected to the INTERNET!!!
