Turkish Army announced that they will have a military drill there weeks ago, they will not delay it because of you and neither will they risk your family's life. Those are international waters according to Turkey, because countries like Turkey, Israel, Lebanon etc never signed up for the new UNCLOS.

DutchTurkish. We heard from other sailors that the military activity was planned and announced on radio and news for weeks prior to the tests only after we attempted to cross from Greece to Turkey in the middle of it. Unfortunately for us we have a language barrier and do not speak Turkish so we were no expecting it. We also recognized that at least 6 other recreational cruiser and charter vessels were intercepted the same day on the VHF. Most of the radio communication in those cases was in English rather then Turkish.

David Turner. We agree completely. The miltary was working to keep us safe. They handled our recreational traffic in the area as professionals and were courteous to us on the radio despite our ignorance of their planned testing. We reacted as requested and changed course. It was a little frustrating at the time because it changed our plans but overall it was not a big deal.

the problem is greeks believe they have 12 miles territorial waters, around islands 6 miles(some islands 1.5 km away from Turkish shore,so you can see its greek utopia), Turkey dont accept it.its international waters.Turkish Navy never intercept civilians.

that interception is Marmaris which is in Turkey. Turkish land and Greek islands are very close to each other like 1.5 km distance so there is no such thing as greek water. Read the international sea law before you post your clickbait video. Even tho, nothing can happen because they are both Nato countries. They do dog fights occasionally but nothing goes serious.

No Harrashment, Turkish navy and his members most modern and smart guys in country. They ares just makeing exercises and this ship try to stopped you for yours not enter danger zone. This happen in this waters because greeks believe they have 12 miles territorial waters, around islands 6 miles(some islands 1.5 km away from Turkish shore,so you can see its greek utopia), Turkey dont accept it Also if you be lucky you can be see biggest stealth milgem ships orgabya or barbaros class ships. Bobby Baldeagle. Yes we do. It took a while to get him (Jax) retrained to use it but he is now happily able to relieve himself whenever he needs. Also, it is nice with the Catamaran trampoline that clean up is generally more easy and sometimes even done by the sea on a lively sail.

The reason why you were intercepted by Turkish Navy was , there was an ongoing navy exercises with the live ammunition and they wanted to protect you! You have to watch your navtext for these navy drills or just shut your mouth , respect people trying to protect you out there! Every year thousands of civil yachts visit Turkey and not even one of them intercepted unless there is something serious !
