Just watched you and your Dad on Max Plus. My heart goes out to everyone that gets hit with tornados. You storm chasers put your lives at rick to inform people and to help people and may God protect you all at all times. Bless each and every one of you. Never stop chasing and thank you for all that all of you do.

I hope meteorologists see this video. This derecho spawned a lot of tornado warnings on the front edge of that derecho 7/15/24, but no tornadoes were detected. Showing what the clouds and winds were doing on the front edge of the storms while tornado warnings were being issued is very valuable information. I love what you do, and y'all did an awesome job with this intercept. Stay safe! ❤

This got super dangerous when it got close to Chicago. Zero visibility at that point and lots of tornadoes. Ef2 hit Franfort while I was at work. Close call for us there.

Not sure where you got the idea "no tornadoes" formed. Last count there were 26+ declared by the evaluations. Eastern Iowa central and north Illinois.

Roughly an hour later from what you see at 2:40:55 in this amazing chase video is what I watched approach from my windows. This monster was so huge and affected such a widespread area. It was garbage night where I was too so the whole area is littered with garbage now. There was no warning or time to pull in the bins. The sirens went off after the initial line passed too so people had to scramble to their safe areas while hearing minor debris smack their homes. Excellent work on this chase!!

I took a 10.2k J/kg CAPE sounding with sufficient 30-40 knot mid and upper level support to boot just north of the metro on the 20z HRRR and decided to "chase" by staying at work in downtown Des Moines and NOT taking PTO for once. Got the EF-1 just as it crossed the loop, took a few decent pictures for the NWS. Cell formation and merging happened about a county NW of town over only a half-hour span just ahead of the southward-bound OFB from the main line by Ames, carving a brief but PERFECT hook echo and fat wall cloud as it rolled in. A chase partner of mine got a brief one up by Iowa City at 20z too - what a day!

Super familiar with the whole area between the Quad Cities and south of Geneseo, hit East Moline pretty hard but rapidly intensified after it passed Geneseo. Was watching the live news and they showed a 130mph reading on the velocity around Kewanee. Lived in the QC for 25 years have never seen winds like this storm.

We knew well ahead of time this was coming, and being from Cedar Rapids, we did NOT mess around. We turned the baby monitor camera toward the window, just so we could see what was happening upstairs while we waited in the basement, and then we wouldnt be tempted to go look out the windows ourselves.

Sweety ... I'm from MS.. Rolling Fork is just up the road from where we reside .. plus I'm from Grenada County which lies adjacent to Montgomery and Carroll Counties .. in MS.. I recall seeing you n your pop . When did you cut that pretty head of hair of yours .. or are you just getting around to letting it grow long ? Either way you've got great hair .. if I was about 45 yrs younger .. 😅😅😅😅 I am teasing you .. I'm no cougar or alley cat or feral cat .. I'm married .. but I ain't blind !! 😂😂.. Our hearts were broken 💔 for our MS. neighbors in Rolling Fork .. Amory . Winona .. Black Hawk.. everyone affected by that dark stormy night .. seemed it would never end .. I didn't think that damned tornado would ever disapate.. it was on the ground for miles n miles .. ... When I was a lil girl around 10 maybe .. a huge tornado destroyed our community in Tallahatchie County .. I was born in Tallahatchie County .. yep that one in the old Ode to Billy Joe tune .. n movie .. but God warned us at church that Sunday night of what was gonna happen weatherwise .. He promised our safety .. He kept His promises that night .. but mobile homes looked like crumpled soda cans .. brick homes were .. wooden frame homes etc. were wiped from their foundations ..another tornado. storm carried a baby from the Oxberry community in Grenada / Tallahatchie County areas for like 35 to 40 miles ofcourse the child was almost unrecognizable when they discovered it in a tree like a piece of insulation or something . My mom n dad were young kids when this one took place .. my dad said they didn't have to pick cotton that yr . The storm blew it all away .. my parents were children of poor but proud sharecroppers ..sharecroppers whom worked hard just like the slaves .. but they weren't treated like blacks were back then.. I learned a lot from their stories .. how to NOT BE A RACIST .. most importantly .. I recall my mom telling my 3 sisters n I about that tornado that carried that precious baby so far . But Mom said when they got in from school it was pitch black dark and it was like freight trains coming from every direction .. they all had storm shelters .. they used their shelter for storing food too like potatoes n onions , peanuts .. n canned goods also.. sorry for the length of my post God Bless you ALL.... Be kind Be humble loud love ☮️🫶🙏👋😎😳🙈🙉🙊👀🤔😳🌪️⚡☔🌪️⚡🌀🌧️🌩️⚡⛈️🌪️🌬️🌊
