Great episode. The game system captures pretty well the sense of dread German pilots must have felt knowing the the enemy could strike them anytime from anywhere.

what does group damage do? it keeps scoring equal or less hits than category one lower

Group damage is a "package" of hits. For example, if you are targeting the Airframe and draw GP (Group Damage) the hits will ALWAYS be: 1x Controls, 1x Airframe, 1x Gunner, 2x Random Hits. By comparison, if you draw a card and score four hits, they will all be Random hits. Hope that makes sense. :)

These videos are superb, love your work, I have one question: after rolling your first "12" on encounter and then rolling on the event table, should you roll again on the encounter table without moving the plane on the endurance box? Cheers.

Thanks for the compliments! Regarding your question, the rules state that rolling your first "12" trumps any further encounters in that space and you will have to move to the next space and try again.

How do you get into the vertical climb positions? I'm assuming you need the Me 163?

Thanks for the good work. I dont think I saw where you pointed out the endurance of the FW-190. How do you know it ran out by the time it got to the bombers? I guess some of the endurance got used up when you fought the P-51

On the Aircraft Mat is a series of tracks. Endurance is a comparison of where the aircraft is based compared to where the Raid is occurring. As noted, The 190 is based at Vokel in the Netherlands (dutch) sector, one of the raids went to the Munich sector. This is greyed out on the track as being too far away for a viable intercept. For the Berlin Raid there is only 1 opportunity for a dutch based FW-190 to intercept the raid, because it was 2D6 =12 it's a random event and after that he would proceed into the greyed out munich sector and so has to return home. If the raid was in the Ruhr Sector theoretically you could continue to engage the raid down the track towards the munich 'end of endurance' square but that will normally be just impossible due to damage. gained from intercepting the bombers or fighting off the escorts....

dhmosquitoiv explained it very well. The endurance boxes are abstractions of the range. The blue boxes are viable sectors, the gray ones are out of range so any raids that show up in those gray boxes cannot be intercepted.

Well, Western Front Ace came out and I jumped over to it. I will be going back to it after my playthrough of WFA.
