You know I don't know that I play Canvas hits with Tailed as a hit for the Tail. I'll have to remember that. I think he played it right and I play it right. I looked in the rulebook and found this: Jammed weapons and canvas hits do NOT count as a “hit” on a system

@@johnnymustang760 The rule you sited is [7.6.2] Post Combat, refers to whether an airplane is written off (6+ hits to the system) [page 20]. I refer to rule [7.1.2] Encounters Tailed: This is not a starting orientation; however, it occurs during combat. The key disadvantage to being tailed is that the firing aircraft automatically inflicts one bonus "Tail" hit if any hits are scored at all [page 13]. Also, the last sentence of rule [7.1.3] Beginning Combat Aircraft with twin rear guns inflict +1 hit IF the defensive card has at least one hot ("0" result cards are still zero hits, even with twin guns {Page 14]. Lastly, in the Apr 20, 2024 errata: [7.1.3] [Clarification] The "+1" Crew hit requires at least one random hit (after defensive reductions) to occur in order to trigger. I used to play under the interpretation that any extra hits (tail or crew hits) required that a non-Canvas part of the airplane was hit (including rear guns on a Scout without rear guns, or hits to the landing gear on a 2-seater). As always, when in doubt, issue a home rule.

@@vandrik77 Yes, I could have used my wingman. I'll check the rules to see if I can try to unjam my guns and use my wingman at the same time. I think you can do one or the other. Not sure.

In the Errata section: [11.12] [addition] - Optional Wingman use: if reloading a weapon system or clearing a jammed MG, you may. if you have a wingman, call on him to draw a card or use the Wingman section. Although it doesn't specifically say so, you should be able to call on your Wingman and roll on Chart W.1 Wingman Attack on 2-Seater (as the above rule seems to only apply when facing a Scout). For what it's worth, it would seem that if the Wingman can perform an action against a Scout, he should be able to attack the 2-Seater. When in doubt, issue a home rule. The question did come up on BBG under "2-Seater, Wingman & Jammed Guns.

@@richardginste4399 In the current errata, there is an option for a two-seater to fire if head-on. On a die roll of 3 or less, he fires with 3FP. One a 4 or higher he goes evasive. The option to fire only happens if he is head on. Any other position and he goes defensive.

Yes, it's a beefy one. Lots of aircraft mats, etc. add to the weight of the box making it a little more expensive than others.

One of my favorite games, I drag it out and play quite a bit. Plus I play in the Facebook group campaigns. I feel I got my money's worth out of this one.

Months have different number of weeks in game. Summer has 4 spring and autumn 3 and winter has 2. I guess this simulates that the rest of the time the weather is too bad to fly.
