Intercontinental New York Barclay Hotel -Midtown Manhattan Luxury, an IHG Hotel

This hotel may be steeped in history but it offers all the modern luxuries you could ask for. This 5-star hotel is located in the center of Manhattan an easy 10 minute walk to Rockefeller Plaza and Times Square. The easy elegance of the hotel, decorated in rich gold tones, makes you feel like you have stepped back in time but the Ipod docking stations and 24 hour gym put you firmly in the present. You have the best of both worlds! Its just a few blocks from Grand Central Station and dates back to 1926. It has a memorabilia cabinet that you should check out. There is a very popular bar for evening cocktails and a club lounge on the ground floor for guests with status or who have booked a club room. This is not a property I have status with but I was able to do a tour and show you the lounge. It actually looks amazing so if your trying to decide on what hotel to be loyal to, this may sway you to IHG.
If shopping is your pleasure, Fifth Avenue shops are moments away- and if your looking for a church one Sunday? May I recommend Times Square church? Its a ten minute walk from the hotel on a Sunday Morning and has solid music and preaching with a friendly welcome.
