If you are already working in healthcare then i'll highly advise you to apply for express entry. They have drawn for healthcare occupations. I'm sure you qualify. Do your research about it.

Thanks for subscribing! You can bring your family after you’re done with the program when you’re no longer on a study permit. For transferring or switching schools, you have to complete a program before switching schools. So yes, you can as long as your study permit is still valid.

Hello, thanks for reaching out. Most people who come via study permit use it as a stepping stone to further their careers really. So if you want to come and work in Canada as a CNA, I can only recommend this course. But to answer your question, LPN program is only available for domestic students in Sask Poly. Unless you are a PR, I don't think you can apply for the course. Because CCA program is a one year course, you cannot come with dependent due to the new update by IRCC until you are on a work permit. Your family can come visit you on a visit visa.

Do you think that first aid /cpr certificate from Nigeria is acceptable for CCA job. Because am a diploma Nurse here in Nigeria desiring to migrate via care job.

I think it’s only if the certificate is from the Canadian Red Cross. I might be wrong but my school insisted on it. If you’re a RN, please try and check the PR pathways for health care workers and if you qualify join the draw whilst planning to migrate with a care job.

Thank you for watching Chibuzo! Yes, basically you can. It’s a one year course though, so you’ll get a PGWP of one year and there PR routes that you can apply for within that year.

Hello If you’re a nurse and you want to work as a nurse, that’s a different path. But if you want to study this CCA program then all you need is your WAEC result. So it depends on what you want. Let me know

Hello, it is a one year course. Unfortunately, IRCC just updated their rules saying only Masters and PHD students are allowed to relocate with family. You might have to wait till you are done and you can relocate them when you are on a work permit.

You can try to research diploma health courses, I’d have suggested LPN but sask poly don’t admit international students for the program. But please research other schools as well outside Saskatchewan. You might be able to find one.

Hi Sue, thank you for your elaborative video. However, I need more clarity especially, the financial beat of it. I am a Ugandan with no one that I know in Canada, kindly give me a rough picture of the finances that I will need from the time I step in Canada to the time of my first job. Besides, did you say that I need to present to the College TLR, PART, First Aid, Food safety, and WHIMS certificates so they award me the certificate or qualify me! if so, where can you recommend me to get these certificates from? Hey! Thanks for reaching out! I honestly cannot give you an estimate of how much you will need. But you will need more than 10K per year excluding tuition for a single person household. Those certificates are needed for you to get a job when you are done, so you can train for them during your program. Most colleges include it to your education. So they do not necessarily qualify you for the program, you need to have the grades and tuition deposit to get an offer. IRCC issues study permit, you need to check their website to learn how to apply for one or get an immigration agent. hope this helps!

Hey, the LPN program is open to domestic students. I don’t think international students can do it for now, I could be wrong. But I know northwest college does not offer it to international students. So people I know just wait till they get their PR and go for it. It’s kinda expensive for domestic students so it might too expensive if it is open to international students.

The POF depends on the number of people traveling. I know there’s a guide of the IRCC website that states the actual amount of money needed per person. Please check the website.

Thanks for the sun! A cheaper uni? Hmm Universities tuition are more expensive than colleges/polytechnics. I don’t think there are cheaper options than this. Most programs charge international students more and their tuition costs within the range of 10-20k CAD. For a one year graduate course, no you can’t.

Not anymore. IRCC has updated their rules saying only Masters and PHD students are allowed to bring their dependents. So I’ll suggest after you get your post graduate work permit once you’re done, you can apply for your dependent.
