I've used golden staff and war axe only attack items and rest being tank items , it works wonders in terms of sustainability, golden staff has better heal mechanism for aulus than other atkspd items.

Also, his Extra Damage is able to trigger Impure Rage, so you can Regen Mana with it by just Basic Attacks

I found it weird before that people built him with war axe since he is a basic attack hero. Now it makes sense since his passive gets spell vamp.

Yeah, but the spell vamp itself doesn’t really contribute that much to his passive attack. However, since every bit counts, it might still be helpful in some situations 😅

wait does that mean aulus benefit from fighter emblem while golden staff will help him stack his passive instantly to max? so would building war axe golden staff be good for him as a starter item?

Yes, but the spell vamp from the Fighter Emblem doesn’t really contribute much to his passive attack. As for the golden Staff, unfortunately no... Aulus builds up his stack not from every attack, but you’ll need to wait for 3 seconds after delivering any damage to fully activate his passive. It can be triggered through just a single attack, then wait for 3 seconds, same mechanic as War Axe and Brute Force 😁

Yes, it’s based on Aulus' HP, so the more HP he has, the more he can heal with his 2nd skill
