Nuts can be incredibly healthy for one's brain. All nuts are not equal. Some have more omega threes and other beneficial nutrients, where as others have more omega 6. They can also be problematic for those who have calorie issues. But when consumed in. appropriate amounts and with their benefits in mind they can be a great source of protein, omega 3 fats, and so many other nutrients and minerals.

There is a tsunami of diseases of the brain such as Alzheimer’s, stroke and Parkinson’s disease permeating our culture. In our own communities and families, we all have known at least one person suffering from these illnesses and in many cases seen the fallout first-hand. There is no treatment for these diseases, and the emotional, financial and social burden is immense. These diseases are thieves, stealing time, money and ravaging the minds of our loved ones. Lifestyle change is the only answer.

I make thick nut milks & freeze them into cubes - then use them as an "ice cream" base in my Vitamix. I trained my palate over time to go from 100% fruit with the cubes to adding a tiny bit of carrot & kale & spinach to now using about 1/3 veggies & it still tastes like a sweet treat to me. I *LOVE* tree nuts.

Haha. My father died at 84, he smoked, drank alcohol, and never did a days exercise in his life...eat drink, and stop being obsessed with safety, you can die from a million other things than watching your diet...??

We are so pleased that your father lived a wonderful life, and we wish the same for you. But public health doesn't work at the level of anecdotes. Public health operates with the bell curve in mind. A profound proportion (>80%) of our healthcare cost is driven by lifestyle factors, that are in our control. We see the consequences in our clinics on a daily basis. We wish you much health and joy!

@@TheBrainDocs because drs continue to promote foods that create issues. Keeps them in a job. Then there are these fads eat nuts, drink a glass of red wine for antioxidants etc. Studies are flawed because 1 group of 1000 people will have a different outcome to another group of 1000 and considering the way candidates are selected for studies im not suprised they get good results. High amounts of lectins can create reactions in some people. Never heard you mention that. Informed consent? Instead here we have try the next fad then when you have issues come to the dr we won't tell you the simple answer just refer you to specialists so they can make their money too. I wonder if I watched all you videos how much I'd be eating in a day and if it would even be sustainable.

I have to wonder how many more years your father could have remained with you in good health, had he been a faithful & responsible steward over his own body.
