hi Mr marcus I just want to ask you about my red hook silver dollars and I hope that with your experience with this fishes help. so here is the thing; I have 6 silver dollars 5 females and 1 male, the male keeps the females either on the corners or hiding except for the moments that I feed them or do the water changes in which they school together, beside of those moments they never school; they are between 5 and 4 inches and currently stay in a 75 gallon aquarium. what should I do to make them school normally? or is that their normal behaviour? they've been there for about 4 months now. thanks in advance and great species profiles you're making and I really like this loach.
@MbunaMarcus9 жыл бұрын
+CaMiLo EsTeBaN I've never had had my silver dollars school either...they hangout more then school. You might find the 75 will get quite cramped as they grow out. I'd say this is normal behaviour.
@camilogiraldo1559 жыл бұрын
Ok thank you. And eventually they'll be moved at some point to a bigger tank.

It's pattern reminds me of a morel mushroom. Looks like it is pretty happy in your tank. I had one for about three years, but then it just died. I think my tank got to be too clean after adding more grazers.

Sorry I'm late but if it's in a cichlid tank might be wise to provide some hiding spots like a fake cave.
