Allot can happen in a single month let alone 4 years. Take your time to discover yourself. I like to think the part where they are on the train and he chooses to sit facing the back to see his past instead of facing forward to see the future. It really speaks to me about how he is choosing to accept all of the choices he’s made up till that point and make the choice to look within and find a form of forgiveness for what he sees to be problems in his life. Keep moving forward. Forgive and don’t forget. And it never hurts to let yourself be humbled every day. Take care and hope to see you here again in 4 years.

I would like to leave this message to anyone rewatching this entire series, trying to decipher it and all it's messages and symbolisms, trying to find the clear image, as I have: It's really hard to find that clear image. That is okay. In fact, I daresay that this is by design. It is part of it's beauty. Interface is abstract in nature, and just like in abstract art, the meaning is all up for interpretation. You could labor endlessly trying to decipher the true meaning behind everything, stuck in an endless loop trying to do so, haunted by all our questions, seeking answers, lost in time, not unlike Henryk in this series, and be tempted to succumb to a seemingly clear answer to everything that haunts us. But also like Henryk, we can also choose to find the meaning we want for ourselves, and forge onward from that loop, carrying with us, the answer that we have found for ourselves. Of course there COULD be a clear answer to everything, and we could ask U m a m i for them. He COULD have all the answers, but it seems that he isn't intent on giving them away. And that's okay as well. That means we are free to come up with our own meanings for this series, each as distinct and as beautiful as every frame of animation in all 7,037 seconds of this film. It's as Mischief said at their arrival at the lighthouse: "If I told you all I know, you would collapse too. It's not my place to tell you. These are things you'll find on your own." Thank you, U m a m i, for this wonderful modern masterpiece. I'm so glad to have existed just in time to discover it. To everyone else here, I'm glad to have been able to enjoy it with you. And remember: Don't get lost in time.

The use of perspective shifting is Kubrick level of genius. Like the segment from the owls perspective and its freedom and then we switch to Henryk looking at it through the car window to highlight his dissaciation. Another good example is Henyrk looking at the lighthouse coincidentally with his family. One detail that made me sad to think on it, is when theres the flashback with his daughter telling how he met his wife, one thing hidden in plain sight is that there is no color gradient to tell you its a flashback. Hes opened his heart to experience his family as if its the present. And now the depressing color gradient becomes the "future" Another detail thats cool is how his daughter says his "first words" were "i love you" which tells me that his silence is meant to express his tragedy, that his loss took away his voice. Henyrk endures because he doesnt try to bargain with the changing times like Mr Greetings did, but he opens his heart and heroically takes all the suffering that follows instead of continuing to dissociate from reality. To me this is a story of seeing the world as a creatively inspiring place when you are tempted to close yourself off in despair.

Being a man of few words I can say this, the music, it reached inside me. The message that I caught wrenched at me for my poor choices. So many times I made the wrong ones. There's so many golden quotes from this as well as a complete sense of yes I completely get this but I also will never be able to completely gets this... and if you think about it, that exact feeling of uncertain certainty is what I feel is an adequate take away. The passage of time and the human experience and the conflict of change, its horrors, its cycles. Looping and remembering and forgetting. Are we destined to destroy and rebuild again and again until no longer possible? And when we look within ourselves to find a place in the universe, the isolation you gain from your uncertain certainty, that dissociation. Disconnected. Always so many questions, never enough answers. The way this series was created and it's immersion is something special, pulling on that early internet nostalgia that is sure to be a staple for generations to come, it is so great and even more so fitting as we enter an era inevitably reliant on the internet and social media. Where are we going!?!?!? the horrible fate of not knowing the future, but that does not mean we cannot face it, running away into circles. The way the audience is guided through mischief's commentary and monologues and jabs while henryk does not speak, more so a template for you to project on. I think i could probably go on forever about this..... thank you for this, i can feel the love put into it and as such i am enamored with this

I’ve been following this series since before episode 10, seeing this now on its ultimate form is an emotional experience. The content itself awakens abstract feelings of longing, sadness, and other harder to place emotions tangled in introspection and reflection. The completion of this project Is like passing by a stretch of grass every day, watching a big building be raised. Once there was nothing, then there was something for such a long time, now it’s done. Crazy. Insane. Time passing by moment by moment

In 1943, a US Navy vessel in Philidelphia attempted to test a new cloaking device that likely used quantum mechanics. It didn't work as intended, as instead of cloaking, the ship and it's crew were teleported and fused into the hull of the shop, most of them perishing. The three survivors of this incident were Henryk (immortal main character, blue suit.) Percy/Mischief (freaky ethereal clown man.) and Joseph Greetings of Greetings Robotics. This incident seemed to cause a domino effect that revealed a concept known as "Cereberal Electricity" to the world. You can think of cereberal electricity as the concentrated substance formed through an excess of lived experiences, memories, likes and dislikes, emotions, and so forth. If you know about the pseudoscientific concept of "Qualia," I think of Cerebral Electricity as a coherent, visible version of that. The excess of cerebral electricity that flooded the wold from that point on caused many people to shift into terrifying forms and changed the color of the sky from blue to a scorching red. Decades later, Joseph Greetings has founded Greetings Robotics and finished it's development on K.A.M.I ,(Kinetic Autonomous Mechanical Interface) which is essentially a machine powered by CE to hunt down other cerebral electricity anomalies. The main story follows primarily Henryk and Mischief, focusing on how their histories intertwine and how they navigate the challenges they face, Henryk having to outlive everyone he has and every will love. Hopefully that clears a little bit up for ya.

Hope there's more big projects similar to this one or in this unique/odd realm that you've ever so meticulously created. The ambition it takes to make something of this caliber is truly impressive. The first time I watched this, it inspired me immensely to create right away. I'm a creative myself and use music as my primary means of expression and the score to this is magnificent. The soundtrack paired with the animation fits immaculately. I just can't say enough good things about this, like honestly. Spectacular.

Watching this for my 3rd time, all the way through for my 25th birthday. I don't know why I find so much comfort in this series, so much nostalgia for a place I've never been. To me this series feels like one of the best depictions of PTSD, conflict with one's past, their identity, and the separation of the psyche. That true separation from both time and self that I achieved from trying to drown out my demons. My own interpretations probably aren't exact, but I believe the ambiguity of this work of art was not only intentional but necessary in order to allow some mental detangling on the viewers part. Much like how the subconscious shapes our perceptions and experience without our control. It must remain latent and not manifest, in order to assert influence. Thanks Umami, for making me feel so seen.

What a work of art. I've been transfixed on the movie and watched it in one go. The animation has its own vibe and adding the VHS effect to it is just fantastic! I am in love with the works of art being referenced in the making and how the gloominess of a future of such a world just...grabs you, doesn't let you go. The pictures are still in my mind, the ambiguity of their words and actions make for such a large spectrum of interpretation that it resembles the quantum entanglement while being unobserved: creating a pool if endless possibilities of meaning. I would absolutely love to see this being shown in an Indie movie theatre, or any kind of art gallery. What a movie!

I want to congratulate the creator or/and the writer when giving backgrounds to specific events, like the first exhibition of Kami for example was shocking, Better done than many movies of today.
