I love that I love having a neutral canvas of a house like that and then you can literally change the artwork and colour scheme of accessories as you get bored. For example you could change the greens to pinks. Love the way it all flows together very pleasing. Love the huge kitchen island. Everything is to scale properly.

Personally, I love color . . . but the White is definitely classy, serene and welcoming. They did a very BEAUTIFUL job 🥰 and definitely had a healthy budget to work with.

Love that you kept the office wood as is. Overall, love everything. I do find most guests don't feel comfortable having a huge mirror in the dinning room.

Me too! Dark colors and furniture that's all a dark color really bother me because it looks so dingy to me. I love feeling like everything's bright and open, especially when the windows aren't super large, which white and light neutral colors tend to do! I love adding pops of color with accents and decor, too.

Everyone complaining about it being too white need to remember who they client is. Is it your house? No, okay. So your preferences are subjective and not the law. 😀 All white isn't for me either, but as long as the designers nailed the brief and the client is happy - it's a job well done. I can appreciate that.

Congrats on a great transformation! I think the most important point is whether the clients love it since they are the ones living in it. As a designer myself, from the design brief to the final reveal, there is collaboration in between with the client, through mood boards, conversation, tear sheets or digital images so they do know what the end result will be. Based on these wonderful designers comments their clients were very pleased with the final result!

It's probably the same book. When House and Home comes to do a photoshoot, they stage the house first. They'd have a whole truck full of accessories. They'd put furniture in a different place from where you normally have it. And one of the stagers probably likes the way that book looks and takes it with them to each shoot. The homeowners and maybe even the designers have probably never seen it in their lives.

Very agreeable decision to keep the office in tact. Overall, the project looks great. I do wonder why the revamped kitchen had its crown moulding profile changed from the rest of the floor. The continuity of the same would have lessened the "remodel" appearance.

I like the remodel, except 2 points. The art in the dining room had 2 huge lamps obstructing the enjoyment of the painting, art lovers want to experience the art. Also, not everyone wants so many mirrors. In my experience, it can make guests uncomfortable to have a direct, stark view of themselves (surprise, your lipstick is smeared, or your pants are wicked wrinkled!). I want my guests to feel comfortable, not concerned about their appearance. A smoky mirror is kinder, more gentle - if needed in public spaces. Great art provides a conversation, a mirror invites self critique.
