2:54 Building a functional bathroom in this cutout was so easy, they still messed up. Here's how I'd do it: Get one of those toilets with a sink on top: that will eliminate the need for seperate space. Also helps save water. Instead of a bathtub, get a shower installed next to the toilet (uncomfortable but it can work if you move the toilet towards the bath). Lastly where the bath is, install cabinets and boom :)

Or you can simply put the toilet and sink where the bathtub was, they didn't really needed high ceiling anyways, and put the bathtub on the wall where the cabinet was.

When one of the employees led me to the washroom, IT WAS LITERALLY A REALLY LONG LADDER, LEADING UP TO THE WASHROOM WHICH WAS ON ONE TINY CORNER ON THE TOP. It was so high that I was genuinely scared for my life to come down.

We looked at a house where they had cut a hole in the shared wall between kitchen and garage. The door of the oven was in the kitchen and the rest of oven protruded into the garage. (The range top was separate). They also had tried to DIY a concrete bathroom sink. They never tried to sand or polish it. It was rough like pumice stone. Yeah that would be ideal for growing moss and mold!

I have seen some this type of thing when our family was house searching for a few years....until we decided that our house was fantastic and we would just stay where we were! To give you a hint on to what the houses where like.....one house was called the "Crack House" and another the "Meth House" (no seriously one house had been raided and at the time we went and saw it....there was literally time open food on the counter, along with meds! Oh and also a poor dead crow that had somehow gotten in and died in the master bathroom. And there was clothes and stuff everywhere! They had left with their beds, but you could tell they where on the run! It was a pretty nice house too. We went back after they cleaned it up,.but the house was built so weird with lots of stairs everywhere. One bedroom was more of a loft, had to get to it from a almost vertical "stairs". The type that doesn't have backs so it was basically a ladder, had maybe 1 foot between the base and the rail, this is upstairs of course, and on the otherside was a literal 1 1/2 to 2 story drop! Very scary, because you know being kids we.just had to go see what was up there, it was a miracle they ever got us back down! So that was a nope! My oldest Brother was a realtor for a while, so he could show us houses that where about to go on market, and needles.to saw whoever told him about these places left a few things out. The one curved staircase you see at the beginning my friends Dad had to do that to there house. It is a old farm house that he was adding on to (he's a contractor) and that was literally the only thing he could do with out tearing up the house almost completely to fix it and having to move load bearing Studs and beams. So it looks funny but sometimes that is the only thing that can be done without opening a whole can of worms that can more then 8X your original budget.
