Interior designer these days sucks alot of money. Apart of their huge fees.. They had a commission from all the agencies they had commission from all the material suppliers... Fortunate that i got to know this prior my working.. Now I have made it by my own and it looks amazingly good... I think Giving time from my busy schedule gives me satisfaction as well as saving money...

If anyone feels so and can take time from their busy schedule, they can go with Interior Design Consultancy or Interior Design Only Services. As explained in the video, in both of these one can directly make payment to the agencies and materials payment to be done directly to the shop owner. A designer will suggest what material and finishes you need to purchase and then you can finalize it from wherever you want. It won't be mandatory to purchase from certain shops.

I don't know for any other city but what I have experienced is the shop owner asks if you need any designer we have best interior designers there we get trap once we say that we already have one they give the max to max price of the product same happen with the labour and thekedaars.. They have huge huge cartel..

@@maheshsharma2676 exactly how does it make sense ? Any good flat or a villa cost min 1.5 to 5cr . If it's 5cr , then it's gonna be 40L to 75L for designer fees and then separate charges paid by owner for sourcing tiles, fittings , upholstery, POP ?

Percentage based charging system has very dark side of it. The designer keep increasing cost of project intentionally to increase his commission.

In such case, you can set lower and upper limit. Discuss the same with Interior Designer before hiring. You can also make official contract signed by both the parties. It will solve your problem.
