The only reason themes and trends change is to make people feel like they need to spend more money to buy the trendy stuff and throw away what you already have. It’s ridiculous because it’s all about money nothing else. Stick to a style you like and add to it over the years. Trey and stick with it for 5-10 years. Keep what you like and change out the major pieces of furniture 10- 15 years.

I love eclectic design. My home is filled with pieces I love instead of chasing trends. Mid-century modern couch, 1940’s curio cabinet, farm table, Persian rug…it’s so cozy.

I only replace furniture when I need to. I’ve lived in my house for 20 years and still have the same bedroom set and only replace my sofa set once because my kids torn it up after 15 years. I don’t understand changing out decor base on trend.

Any good designer knows how to budget. i don't know anyone who waste money on interior trends. They buy what they like and wise people who know what they like, will go with a general style. Some might buy a trendy accessory for a cheap thrill, then toss it. "in and out" was for fashion, hence the term "the rag trade"
