Seems to me that if you just cut off the corner of a cardboard box & glued it inside the corner, then just used a mix of sawdust & carpenter's glue applied with a spatula, the entire job would have been ALOT easier & simpler, no?🤔

Hi pal here's a digest: First he blended the styrofoam with gasoline and made a sticky paste. Then used super glue to join a kind of balsa wood pieces. Shortly after he added sawdust to the initial blend to make the final product. Finally he used metal mosquito net to give strength to the frame and refilled all with his " blend".

Con solo aserrín y colbon, pegante blanco o cola de carpintero queda más sólido, eso es lo que usan los carpinteros para rellenar imperfecturas en la madera. La gasolina y el porespan o icopor se inflan y se escurre cuando seca además queda demaciado poroso.

Using acetone instead of (probably) water and saw dust instead of (probably) mud would have given better results.

Why cut two pieces of mesh? Just cut one piece in the shape of a letter L and fold it to make the corner bracing. Also, it's easier and less messy to use fiberglass for this type of repair.

Creo que es muy ataosa la reparación mas fácil y rápida sería pegar un soporte por dentro y luego cortar pedazos de madera del espesor requerido pegarlos a la soportacion y rellenar con cola fría y aserrín las hendiduras y lijar bien para un acabado perfecto posterior se forra como lo hicistes al final y esto tardaría un tercio de horas como las que se demora la reparación que mostrastes en el video yo lo haría como te lo expliqué Saludos

Would it have been better to put the broken peice back into place, glue it in and used the rest of the filler you made to fillnin the gaps, and then sand it down? Maybe it would have saved some work.
