INTERLAKEN - Interlaken is a world famous tourist destination in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps, and the main transport gateway to other top Swiss villages, mountains, lakes and Alps of that region. This town is located between two lakes, Brienz to the east and Thun to the west, and alongside the river Aare, which flows between them. This vacation destination is the starting point for numerous activities - interlaken paragliding, interlaken helicopter ride, interlaken bungee jump, interlaken to Jungfraujoch, interlaken to lauterbrunnen, interlaken to grindelwlad. The views of the sparkling lakes and the majestic mountain chain are unique. Transport routes to the east and west alongside the lakes are complemented by a route southwards into the near mountain resorts and high mountains, e.g. the famous high Alpine peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, following upwards the Lütschine river. which is presided over by the three mighty mountains, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. this year, snowfalls have been quite less across Switzerland (until now) compared to the last few years. So the chances would be less for snowfall in Interlaken in March but you will definitely see snow in the Grindelwald, Murren, Wengen villages and maybe in Lauterbrunnen too.

Tks for this amazing video! I’ve some doubts…I never visit Switzerland and also Interlaken on the last days of February and first days of March, can you please confirm to me if it’s mandatory to have winter/snow tires or if the “four all season” tires it’s allowed? Cause I will rent my car in France, and the car won’t have this “winter/snow” tires on the rental company, only this “four all season”. Also in Interlaken area, not on the Alpes, but at the regular highway…was necessary to use chains for the tires anytime?

It’s (winter tire) not mandatory but important for safety. On regular highways, you dont need chains on the tires. Highway roads remain clean and free from snow usually unless there is continuous heavy snowfall.
