I'm sat at my v drum kit, macbook by my side, following this lesson & getting something out of it, thinking how utterly amazing it is that this dude is giving me this knowledge for free. again, utterly amazing. thanks mate!

Seriously man, I totally agree! I wish these learning tools were around when I was first learning in the late 90s. (However; the internet was brand new thing back then lmao) Would've saved me so much time! Thanks, Jared and everyone at Drumeo for your stellar knowledge through these videos!! D✌🏼

i guess it's because the ghosts notes that he played then aren't any much softer in volume than the accented notes. the lesson is about how to transition comfortably from playing accents to playing ghost notes. what you should be trying to achieve are ghost notes which are noticeably softer than the other notes, to add some variety to the beat, like how he did it at the beginning of the video.

Do you maybe have a video for the "tribbled ghost beat"? Very good video! Thank you! :)

i thin what he means is that if youre trying to do ghost notes, you dont want it loud. sometimes you would want it to be loud, but then i dont think the notes would be ghostly anymore lol

Hey guys! I'm starting to look into drum beats and fills that sound something similar to the fill at 0:16 I would be really thankful if anyone could help me out by sending a link to lesson or anything really! I have tried to look for it but I don't know what it is called so i couldn't find anything! Thanks// Kim

Why are your wrists leading the stroke. Doesn't the bead move first? unless you are a using the moeller technique. But when you are playing your bead moves first, but not in the example. just pointing that out.
@dead_weight_habits23219 жыл бұрын
I was watching another instructional and it said the Moeller technique helps in ghost notes. For instance when you pull away on the first stroke you ghost note. Is this something to keep in mind because it made sense but I want to keep my technique consistent. Thanks

the moeller technique does not work for ghost notes on their own. but it does work for ghost notes after am accent
