One question, "пища для ума" and "пища для размышлений" are synonyms? Because (as far as my English goes) "food for thought" is something more intellectual that requires consideration, while food for the soul is something more spiritual and holistic. No difference in Russian?

Traditional means that people do it since many generations. It does not mean that it is original from a place. Otherwise we will say that rice is not traditional food in Japan because it comes from China...

@TheMoon ... Всякая еда любимая. В Греции есть блюдо которое называется "гемиста". Это помидоры и другие овощи, фаршированные с рисом, и запечённые в духовке. Очень вкусно.

@TheMoon... да, так говорят, что это очень здоровое. Я живу на острове КРИТ где много оливковых деревьев. Главный продукт Крета оливковое масло, поетому мы всегда используем оливковое масло. Всего хорошего.
