Can you explain in detail what your body is doing and feeling, how you take off, on what edge, leaning back or forward, landing on back or front, etc., for the first 3 or 4 tricks? No snow or hill to practice on so I try to simulate in the basement, on carpet, strapped in to my board, so when I get to go I’m sort of ready.

Good video to build up to some fun tricks! But tailblocks are something I just can't seem to be able to do. Any tips or exercises to work up to tailblocks?

For sure, we have a whole video on tail blocks inside shred school www.edshreds.com

Any of these you can practice at home? I only get two or three days a year on the hill and my local hill is pretty small, mostly greens and no side hits or park.
@ShredSchool119 күн бұрын
Most of them yes

Wondering if these would be easier with a shorter lighter board as well? Mine is a stiffer one, as well, but i feel like I have been trying to get it to bend for years and i just stay flat on the ground
@xv902118 күн бұрын
Snowboards have flex ratings. If you board is stiffer it will be harder to butter.

Yoo Ed any tips on bs 180, when i do it, it kinda pushes me to my back when i land so lot of times i find myself falling on my back on this trick... Any tips with that?
@ShredSchool1Ай бұрын
for sure, I like to stare straight down at my front foot (my left foot because I'm regular) and land nose first on my front toe. So staring down at left foot, push in to the toe, land. It also matters where your hips are in the air. Try to keep them over top of your board or even over your toeside edge rather than leaning towards your heel edge which would cause you to fall backwards kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2m1YnecgtqBf6c

@@ShredSchool1Really helpful vid! Would you recommend landing BS 180’s with your toe edge or heel edge, or does it not matter so much?
@ShredSchool1Ай бұрын
@@MarioMercier land flat based but if you have to pick one slight toe edge
@TheShift1313Ай бұрын
I find the bs180 easier than fs180. I have a harder time doing an ollie while on my heel side vs toe.

does tail press damage your snowboard?

Man I cant even do tailpress, my board is stiff af, I need to nearly lay down to pull the front up.

Think of it more like pressing in to the back than pulling the front up
