Pretty certain this is the one I worked on at Yorkshire TV :) - a long time ago and I was drunk much of the time. Rent a celeb, James Whale appears. Frank / Chris was funny in person although I didn't really get it at the time. Having said that, he probably led me to Sheffield's own John Shuttleworth, similar in several ways.

Well what’s so great about these maverick comedians is you get it or you don’t. And it’s even more special for those that get it cos it feels for them, you know. Or another way of putting it, if it was universally liked there would be nothing unique or special about getting the brand of humour

This idea seems more than a little borrowed from the Red Green show. Even the theme song.
@MrBenabrown9 жыл бұрын
Except not really.
@CharlesHawthorn8 жыл бұрын
No there was no borrowing going on here, this pilot was recorded on August 25th 1991, and the theme music was first used on Frank's fantastic tales in 1987. Do a bit of research first buddy.

The Red Green character and idea has been around since 1979. Do a bit of research first buddy.

I did have a look at this red green character earlier, i wish i hadn't, and there is no similarities between that and Frank. Your original comment was about the two shows. You were wrong.
