I live 300-feet from huge multiple rows of high tension lines coming from a large substation about 1/4 mile away. Lived here for about 10 years. I HAVE noticed effects in myself, my wife, my son, and even some of the animals we have had, which I would rather not get into detail on at this time. We are all in good physical health otherwise and try to eat well and walk and exercise frequently. We have all had medical exams which so far turn up nothing solid which could cause all these things. Even the sound of these lines is often very loud in my back patio, and my son says he sometimes gets shocked while riding under them on his dirt bike. Should we be concerned? I confirmed that the EMF in my home never goes below 2.5mG and up a little higher than 3.5mG. The EF in spots (near a bed) exceed 90V/m. RF averages about 0mW/m^2 but spikes over 500 mW/m^2 in places on occasion (not sure why). In my immediate backyard I read anywhere from 4.0mG up 14+mG in areas.

What should I use to measure the electronic fields?
Thank you for this very well made and informative video. My wife and I are looking for our retirement house and I told her we need to measure the EMF from the overhead transmission lines - exactly as you've shown towards the end of your video) near some of the houses we are considering. Your link does not have any EMF field detectors listed. Can you guide me to an affordable EMF detector? Thank you

I’m currently interested in buying a house and it turns out there is an high power lines around the house. The distance is about 140 meters from the house. I really like the house, but very worried about the EMF effects it will have. I have bought an EMF meter and have measured it. In the morning, inside the house the measurement was 0 uT and outside the house the measurement was around 0.1-0.2 uT. In the afternoon, inside the house it was measured around 0.2 uT and outside the house it was measured around 0.4 uT. Should I worry about this number? And should I buy the house or not? In this regard, I always curious about what’s the difference between the magnetic fields that comes naturally from the earth and the magnetic fields from the high power lines? The earth's magnetic field varies from about 300-500 milliGauss while the magnetic fields from power lines are only a few milliGauss. If the magnitude of the power lines magnetic fields is so small compared to the natural ones, doesn't that mean the magnetic fields from the power lines might not be that dangerous? I hope there is an explanation about this.

Hey there thank you so much! I have a pad mounted trasformer about 8 feet from my house, (right outside our bedroom :( , should I be concerned, how can I test for EMF, should I contact my local power company to measure for EMF. I didn't even think about it when we purchaced our home.

Good question. You better reach out to the inspector with that one.

Research EMF shielding for interior walls and windows.

well, you can shield electric and radio frequencies , BUT you can not shield the magnetic field (actually it is possible, but complicated and costly)@@rodneysammons5544

I have a situation where just a regular telephone pole power line is causing between 1-3 mG inside the house depending on the load. Cold nights are bad. I'm not sure how to engage the power company about it. It feels like I would be laughed at. I understand the nature of the problem - probably more than they do. Currently looking into replacing my water line with PEX because a very high MF is coming into the house. During high load, it can be 50 mG easy. Up to 8 amps on the pipe when my power is running, 2 amps when my MAIN is shut off. They checked the lugs and they're tight. The water shut-off at the street is 3 feet away from the pole and it's dedicated ground wire. It must be creating a loop current.
