that is all I've ever done for decades, find a release on my own - not necessarily get tape mixes from brothers friends or anything like that anymore. I don't understand zoomers mentality. I'll aldo scan through certain underground distros new arrivals and see what covers look cool to find new demos. when metal archives was new I used to find some releases with the same producer/mixer/studio etc. that I liked. when I used to be on social media (this is the only one i'm on now) I constantly would get the response "HoW dO yOu FiNd AlL tHeSe BaNdS" showing they don't comprehend anything but following what others tell them to listen to/say is cool... as far as reviews, whether they're in magazines or these days reviews by all the falses here on youtuberville have always been nothing but a joke to me. really don't comprehend why anyone cares what other people care about or wants you to listen to.

Brah D666 is that band for me. I really wanted to like them but they just dont do it for me. Blasphemy is one of, if not, my favorite band but even Bestial Warlust kind of put me to sleep. Corpse Molestation is fucking awesome though. But yeah even if I don't dig them, D666 and Warlust totally respectable bands. Yeah that slam/hardcore scene is beyond me. I like some hip hop and hardcore but I don't need it in my metal. Mustard(rap) taste good on the right foods and so does peanut butter(hardcore) but I wouldn't want those on top of my steak and lobster(brutal death and war metal.....my main jams).

And a good chunk of 90s rap I have not even heard today. Never got into most of it when I had the internet. I did not even want to finish Liquid Swords when I listened to it. I listened to rap because my friends were into Eminem (who I still like, early stuff only). If I was young enough that I had instant access to metal as an 8-12 year old I doubt I will like any rap at all.

First time I saw Angelcorpse was in '07 with Watain on the Antichrist Vanguard tour. They had a killer set, much better than Watain. Caught Cavelera at Full Terror Assault open air in September. It was killer for the most part. Mostly tunes off Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation, but goddamn when they played 2 songs off Chaos AD the crowd went apeshit so I know exactly what j dawg means. The highlight of that set was when they played "Escape to the Void" off Schizophrenia and of course Troops of Doom.

I saw Cavalera at the Blue Ridge Rock fest shit show. They played songs from Morbid Vsions/Bestial Devastation, and no homeboy shit. Was a great show. Also saw Exodus and Testament, before everything fell apart.
