Internal Glazing with the Oscar 800 Offroad, UNIC URW-706 & DSZ2 Vacuum Lifter from GGR Group

A trio of lifting solutions tackle glass installation at the Trafford Centre, taking a fast and effective approach to the iconic building.
With the issue of being unable to transport the glass panes and the Oscar 800 upstairs we chose the UNIC URW-706 to lift them onto the first-floor carpark. The spider crane’s 6-tonne capacity and 19.5-metre lifting height was able to raise both the glass and glazing robot seamlessly, using a 10-metre hook height with a max SWL of 2350kg and max load weight being 1350kg.
Using the DSZ2-L lifted by the crane, the glass was carefully lifted onto a glass trolley above. The max 900kg lifting capacity with manual 360˚ continuous rotation allowed for ease of use and easy manipulation on the 500kg panes.
Inside the shopping centre, the Oscar 800 was smoothly transported with its compact size and all-terrain functionality. The 2.5-metre extension and 800kg capacity made installing the 500kg glass simple, the 135˚ rotation and 90˚ left and right lateral head movement and slew allowed for precise placement and adjustment.
Included with a radio remote control the operator could position the load exactly where they needed - perfect for accurate installation.
