I really enjoyed that first part on leprosy, my attention was100% captured! It felt good to go back to being fascinated and actually enjoying learning medicine instead of killing yourself trying to digest a lesson and trying cram it all in.

Accidentally disliked this video cause I listen in the car, in the house while holding my children, while cleaning, etc. All I'm saying is no one really dislikes these videos Dr. Bolin- they are lifesavers. Any dislikes are probably mistakes like I made (and corrected). Mystery solved.. That is all. Lol

Hey Dr. Bolin, could you please explain the difference between Myelophthisic Anemia and Myelodysplastic syndrome?
@pwbmd2 жыл бұрын
Myelophthisic anemia is where you have an anemia due to poor proliferation of erythrocytes in the marrow. Usually, but not always, related to some sort of infiltration of the marrow with metastatic cancer. Myelodysplastic syndrome is a group of disorders that typically result from defects in the maturation process of a cell line in the marrow, but isn't a leukemia. It's kinda like a "pre-leukemia." Another way to think of it is the leukemia's equivalent to what smoldering myeloma is to multiple myeloma.
